He had never seen a women get dressed so quickly. A blink and she was fully clothed pacing toward the door. He was still sitting up in his bed looking like an idiot. Still trying to piece together what happened. Trying to figure out if it was a bad thing or fate, but it was Melanie's reaction that confirmed it.

"Come on!" She urged.

Issac got dressed while Melanie rushed him. Her anger hit him hard in the chest. She was in furious panic. Having his baby both pissed her off and terrified her.

As they slid in the car, she finally explained that they were going to JoAnn's to get the Day After pill. So not only were they going to see the nosiest woman in town, she was going to get rid of the piece of him that was growing inside of her.

He tried to sooth himself, thinking of what it would mean if they had kids now. For her career, and maybe she wasn't ready to give up her figure, she sure as hell wasn't ready to settle down. At least not with him. That was another, blow. What if she just didn't want him at all. What if he was right for what he thought all those years ago. Perhaps Melanie Davison had been in lust with him all these years and he had been stupid enough to think that it was suppressed love. Still, every mile was a knife twisting in his chest.

Melanie could take the blame for it. It was a dumb idea, that she had replayed in her mind years before it actually happened. She wanted this. Not the condom breaking part. She mentally kicked herself again.

She flinched as she felt his hand slid over hers. She looked back at his big apologetic eyes. She blew out a breath and turned out the window. She knew she should apologize, coddle him, like she always did. She knew he needed it, she knew this was hurting him. In his fairytale world this was meant to happen.

She didn't want to believe he set her up, but she wouldn't have been surprised. If this mistake got any bigger, she would have to walk away from her dreams, and be the woman that he wanted her to be. He didn't understand how unhappy she'd be, and then he would be unhappy, and then they would bring a new life into an unhappy situation.

She made her choice, just like she was making it now. In retrospect she wondered why she's brought Isaac to do this, it would just hurt him, she couldn't think about it now. As soon as the car came to a slight stop she hopped out and barged into JoAnn's.

She felt her eyes burn as she saw the dark-haired woman looking at her. She could already feel the judgments from her, and every eye in the store. It was night and there she was approaching the counter. Where she kept the pregnancy tests, condoms, and hopefully The Day After pills. If not she's have to drive into town. She would probably take her chances with her own car, That sad puppy dog look Shaggs kept giving her always made her feel worse about things.

"Day After Pill, please." She said she couldn't even look JoAnn in the eye, and she hated that.

Shaggs came over a slid a comforting hand around her waist. Normally, she would have been conforted but she stole a glance at JoAnn as her eyes trailed from her to him, piecing their story, and judgement together.

"Oh...oh, of course." She turned and went to the back shelves. She looked nervous as she ran them up, and she continued to eye both of them.

Melanie pulled Issac's arm away. She knew it would hurt him, but it was just too much.

"Sweetie, you're doing the right thing." JoAnn's eyes were big and symapathetic, "People don't accept mixed babies, and it's just better this way."

Melanie looked directly at JoAnn almost in shock. Her eyes burned more, with hurt and anger. She snatched the bag slipped a fifty and a five on the counter and walked out. She didn't stick around for her receipt or change. Now she really wished she would have just came alone.
