A silence of pure astonishment conquered Sasha as she heard the words slip from his lips, as smoothly as satin silk. Her lips quivered in unreadable motion as the futile attempts to say a word continued its battle. An unexpected instance was all she could address it as. For the past weeks, she has been avoiding him with the thought that she was just merely hanging to the one-sided feelings and it was time to put an end to it, but here he was asking her the very question that she hoped would occur. As it did, the moment felt unreal.

"Earth to Sasha?" Aiden spoke with a smirk implanted on his face moving his flat hand before her face as a way to bring back the dazed girl.

Sasha blinked a few times, her eyes unconsciously radiating the happiness she felt as her stomach did flips with the butterflies performing their show.

"Yeah?" She asked still unable to answer properly.

"My answer?" Aiden said extending his hand as a gesture for her to accept it since words seemed so difficult for her brain to trace.

Sasha stared ahead at his veiny hands which were extended out in hopes for her to accept his invitation to walk into his life once again, not as a friend, not as a classmate but something which connected them both romantically. It was a big decision for her to make and it has not been easy for her. Regardless of the rough patch, Sasha was glad things turned out the way they were. Maybe this was her reward for waiting so long. Hesitation long gone, doubts forgotten as she placed her hand in his and spoke.

"Yes"

The afternoon had seemed to glorify the day with its divine beauty. The newly made couple walked side by side still feeling shy like the times back in high school when it was a similar situation. Just the distinction was that they did not share a past back then and were strangers uniting by the interaction of the eye.

"So first day huh," Aiden said with a smile unaware of how to start a conversation.

"Yeah..." Sasha said breathlessly

"Any rules I must follow?" Aiden questioned hoping to get things clear for once and for all.

"None that I can think of at the moment," Sasha said sticking out her lower lip unable to think of a rule she could establish. She did not want it to be the way it was back in high school.

"I have two," Aiden said thrusting his hands inside his pockets looking ahead into the distance making Sasha curious about what the rules could be. She hoped he would say something cheesy but to her dismay, it did not go her way.

"First of all, do not touch my hair. I hate it" Aiden looked at her making Sasha crease her eyebrows.

"Secondly, do not touch my phone without asking me, and I will do the same for yours. Doable?" Aiden said halting his steps looking at the girl who was in deep thought at the already established boundaries.
