Sasha witnessed Spencer practically scrunch his face like it was a piece of paper as soon as he heard the question. However, it was evident that it was not the question that had annoyed him but rather the voice of the individual.

"Ignore" He whispered to her motioning her to continue the journey. Sasha obliged.

"I think I asked something?" The deep female voice asked once again.

Spencer unconsciously held onto Sasha's hand and paced through the halls to avoid that one nosy person who never seems to let Sasha at peace.

Sasha was stunned by the girl's behaviour. The one she thought was a curt popular girl was now acting like a nosy desperate lady. This was not the Nicole Allyson she knew!

Flashing a look of indifference she let Spencer lead her way leaving behind the fuming straight-haired female.

Nicole felt a sudden loss within herself. It was as if she was losing to Sasha in a competitive game, a game she had built in her mind. None of which existed. She always felt a sort of unidentified grudge towards Sasha, and she could never figure out what it was. Probably Sasha's overly straightforward attitude annoyed her. Sasha wasn't less of a vixen herself. She took every chance to show people their places and her disapproval of something. The reason why some liked her some didn't.

"Hey, Nic" A raspy voice suddenly called out for Nicole making her come out of her trance.

She turned around to see the guy whom she had lost feelings for with time and exposure, but he just could not move on from her.

"Hey Aiden" She spoke hastily looking back at the two figures making their way out.

"What are you looking at?" He asked softly looking in the intended direction.

Nicole expected Aiden to continuously poke her to get an answer but the cat had seemingly got his tongue. She looked to her side, to stare back at Aiden looking in the former direction, his pupils dancing in the sea of conflict making Nicole furrow her eyebrows.

"What's wrong?" She asked getting his attention, whom he looked back at with creased brows.

"Huh? Nothing" He turned fully to her.

"How have you been? It's been a while since we spoke" Aiden diverted the topic still leaving Nicole amidst the confusion.

"Yeah I've been okay I guess" Nicole answered a little reluctant to talk to him.

"I'll see you around yeah! I gotta go" Aiden walked away without giving her a chance to speak.

Something about his odd behaviour had triggered her to no ends. Everything seemed to have been going south since the start of the second year of university. Lots and lots of unexpected events, arrivals and unanswered questions. Things were not going her way.

Mayhem had overtaken the whole state of serenity that had once existed, and not one but rather a few lives were due to be tangled. A mess of nasty insanity. Regardless of their awareness of the consequences it possessed, it was a matter of fate.
