An arbitrary gush of wind seemed to roll past the two people, and the hair on their derma stood up as it alerted of a solemn procession which was about to come. The male furrowed his eyebrows trying his best to analyze the possibilities of the fact that the female before him had proposed. He wondered what the contents of the deal may include.

"What kind of deal?" He asked breaking his curiosity.

Sasha took in a deep breath, feeling her palpitations accelerate with every passing moment, as her heart would pop out of her ribcage at any moment. Her senses at this point were blocked, she saw nothing but him in her vision. She wanted him to be around her. The four years of not being detached from this man had been excruciating for her, and her irrational mind was not willing to deal with it once again. After a lot of contemplating, she took a deep breath before spitting out the words which felt like venom in her mouth to voice out.

"I-I'll help you make Nicole jealous" She spat making Aiden's eyes widen at the preposterous proposal the girl just told him.

"What?" Aiden questioned almost not believing if he heard the words right. His voice was laced with utter surprise and disbelief. This did not sound like Sasha at all but the plan seemed lucrative to him.

"But..." Sasha took a vocal pause creating yet another suspense in the air which created a nauseating anxiousness in Aiden.

"If it doesn't work out. You will give our relationship a chance" Sasha finally dropped her demands.

Aiden sighed at the expectation. It was no surprise to him she would expect something like that. He was sure that it will work and he won't have to move towards fulfilling the latter. So without a second thought, he said.

"Deal" Confidence dripped from his tone when he said the words knowing that this was going to be yet another one of his successful plans.

Sasha just stared at him completely heartbroken at the lack of interest he had shown towards her. Her internal self longed for some love and attention, which she had been craving ever since she had reconciled with Aiden but all that shattered in a matter of few minutes. She just hoped that the latter part of her deal would be the result of this massacre.

"We start tomorrow?" Aiden asked excitedly about the outcome of this agreement that they had made.

Sasha nodded before bidding farewell and walking away to the gate with her head down low. She repeated the words he said on the day she visited his parents on the balcony, words that sounded so true and heartfelt were just a facade to lure her into a filthy game which she was irrationally proceeding with. The dots were all connected now. Why he refused to respond to her feelings, why he left her alone on their first call, why he was always this reluctant when knowing things about her. He was not bothered enough about her, hence why he always avoided the instance which would waste his time.

With her head down low, she took the bus home whilst listening to random things on her Playlist none of which seemed to register in her mind. It was all blurry for the moment. Everything seemed meaningless and her wishes to live a life filled with care and love were dissolving into a river of futile attempts. Soon the bus halted announcing her station and expressionless, she walked out after paying. She was in her senses but her emotions were a mess. Soon she reached home, and to her dismay, her mother and her brother were sitting in the living room.

"Hello dear! How was university?" Her mother asked in a cheerful tone.

"It was okay, normal" Sasha answered briefly

"How about Aiden?" Her mother asked unknowingly rubbing salt in her already wounded heart.

"Yeah, he is okay too... I am going to go take a shower, really tired"

"Are you sure everything is okay?" Her mother asked in a soft tone taking Sasha by surprise

"Yeah what would be wrong? I'm just tired, really need to take a shower" Sasha spoke awkwardly

"Alright, eat something afterwards," Her mother said before diverting her attention back to her phone.

Sasha sprinted her way to her room, and immediately locked it. As soon as the shutting of the door was registered in her brain, she broke down into inaudible sobs of agony. Feelings her knees get weak, she sat down by her bedside and held her head in her hands.

"Why does this always happens to me?" She whispered to herself, feeling her palpitations get rougher with each passing second.

The queasy feeling succumbed in her veins, as she began to break into a sweat with her tears becoming an intense stream, and before she could stop it. It was here. The anguish she was liberated from for the past few months. She had no one to turn to, nobody to help her through it, just her hand holding her chest for support to breathe and her subconscious mind trying its best to comfort her. From the menacing occurrence of the incident.

An outrageous anxiety attack

***

Aiden began to walk back to his former spot to mingle back with his friends after the unexpected conversation and agreement with Sasha. Despite him agreeing with her offer, he still felt unsure if he should go on with it or not. In the mind of his goodwill, it felt unethical to do something like this to someone who genuinely returned the feelings. Regardless of his subconscious mind continuously questioning the validity of Sasha's feeling, somewhere in there he knew she was being truthful to her heart. He was now going through a phase of altered thoughts as his conscience was alarmed by the situation

He felt confused and was considering withdrawing the deal they had made but in the latter part, he wanted to go ahead with it. He was praying for a random sign to assist him in making the decision. As if the universe had instantly granted their wish, did he spot Nicole sitting by the open bench intently conversing with a guy whilst getting all cosy in his presence. She was way too close to him for his liking, and the blonde male she was talking to did not seem to mind, throwing lustful glances and flirtatious smiles occasionally.

Aiden felt his hands curl up into a fist feeling a sudden loss of control from having Nicole as his. He kept staring at them and that was the moment, he knew what he had to do.

"Sorry Kavinsky, you'll have to be the pawn"
