Two weeks had passed since the night of the meetings with the parents. Sasha and Aiden were slowly progressing with their relationship. Sasha felt herself on top of the moon in the past few weeks as the vision she had dreamed of for almost four years was now coming to life and she felt herself coming out of that low pool of insecurities that suffocated her once and finally feeling confident in her being.
It was yet another day in the university and Sasha was on her way to her first class which was due to commence at quarter past eight. She was taking a glimpse around the hallway which was flooded with students when her eyes fell upon the handsome hunk who was relaxedly talking to his group of friends smiling from time to time at their statements. She decided to go greet him before her class started and did what she willed to follow. She walked up to him and place a hand on his shoulder flashing a cheerful smile which he did not reciprocate but instead gave her a surprise.
"Hey," She said lightly
"Oh, Sasha. Hey," He replied with a rushed smile before moving back to a conversation with his friend, Adrian.
A look of pure hostility was visible from the group of friends that stood there except for Nathan, who flashed her a smile which she returned before turning to Adrian.
"Would you like to walk with me to class?" Sasha asked with a hopeful look visible on her face.
"I'm talking about something important I'll see you later yeah?" Aiden answered slightly annoyed making Sasha's face drop.
Sasha looked down to her feet feeling slightly embarrassed at the rejection. She felt a gaze on her face which made her look up only to see Nicole staring at her with a smirk which was taunting her lack of significance. Sasha glared at her before turning to Aiden.
"Would you like to go to the café later?" Sasha attempted once again to find a time for both to spend.
"I have training" Aiden hastily answered
"Please?" Sasha pleaded continuously before Aiden snapped
"Sasha please stop nagging" Aiden answered rudely taking Sasha by surprise. Aiden had seemed to understand that he came off as rude and simply gulped looking away.
Nicole was thoroughly enjoying the helpless expression on Sasha's face. It satisfied her to no end, and she wanted to instigate further. She wanted Sasha to feel insecure and helpless. Hence to rub more salt in the wound, she began to start her small play.
"Oww" She suddenly squealed holding her eye
Noticing her state, Aiden rushed to her side concerned. He placed a hand on her arm and the other on the back of her head interrogating whether or not she is okay.
"Are you okay? Is something wrong?" He kept asking, while Nicole sheepishly smiled and threw a devilish look at the brown-haired girl who just stared in disbelief.
