"Zara."
I hid myself under the covers, hoping the muttering would stop.
Faid punched Imran in the stomach. "She loves you damn much and look what you did to her!"
Blow after blow. Stump after stump. Blood began to appear on Faid's knuckles
"Zara."
An exhausting sigh left my mouth as I pressed myself deeper into the bed.
"From today on, you have nothing to do with this man." He clapped his hands clean. "Wedding broken."
I let out a loud scream as the blanket was suddenly pulled from my legs and I fell hard to the ground.
My heart started to pump irregularly and sweat formed above my eyebrows.
"Hey," I felt someone squat next to me and rub my back. "Breathe in and exhale."
Inhale and exhale. Inhale and exhale.
Relax.
I swallowed a large block and shrank back. "I- he-" I took a deep breath and closed my eyes for a moment.
With a look of confusion, I saw Faid looking at me. "Nightmare?" It seems so, yes.
I avoided his eyes and stood up, nodding. "Sorry."
He took a seat on my bed and softly slapped the spot next to him. "Come."
Biting the inside of my cheek, I slowly let myself sit on the bed.
A brief silence followed as I tried to control myself again.
"I want to talk to you about what happened yesterday," muttered Faid after a few minutes. His dark brown eyes looked at me seriously.
I flopped back on the bed again. "There's nothing to talk about, Faid. If you say it won't work, it won't happen."
"You don't wonder why I made the decision to break up the wedding?" he asked in surprise.
I closed my eyes and made myself comfortable in my own bed. "Sure, but I don't want to push you. I trust you."
Faid let out a relieved sigh. "You have no idea how relieved I am about this. I thought you wouldn't accept my choice."
I bit my lip. "I respect your decision, but that doesn't mean it's easy for me." My eyes drifted to the window. I don't even know how he is.
"I'm sorry, sister." His eyes looked at me sadly. "I'm trying to protect you."
"I know." I gave him a small smile. "It just hurts. I saw a future with him and now I suddenly have to get rid of that image." My hand wiped away a tear. "I need time, Faid."
He nodded understandably and stood up. "I hope you can forgive me one day."

I would lie on the couch with my stomach when I scrolled through Netflix bored. With a frown, I picked up my phone from the coffee table and looked at the screen. Come outside.
Biting my lip, I looked at Faid playing with Mira.
Give me 5 minutes, I typed back and got up from the couch.
"I'm going outside and get some fresh air," I muttered to Faid when I saw him looking at me.
"Not too far outside. Samira will be right back. Then we can have dinner."
