"Esma, can you serve table seven? Table two wants to order something."
"Again?" Esma asked in surprise. "I thought they were done."
I lifted my shoulders and looked around. It was always busy around this time.
Esma let out a sigh. "I'll serve table seven. Go ahead."
"Thanks, Es."
With a notepad in hand, I walked down table two and noted their order.
"Anything else?" I asked the men kindly.
One of the men shook his blond hair as he tapped his phone.
However, the brown-haired man gave me a broad smile. "Thank you." He glanced at my business card. "Zara."
I nodded kindly and took my steps away from them. Not much later, I came back with their order.
I put two glasses of water in front of both of them and gave them a smile.
When I turned around again, I heard one of the men calling me. I turned around confused and saw that it was the brown-haired one. His eyes rolled over my figure and I began to feel uncomfortable.
"Yes?" I muttered, hoping he would stop.
He looked up into my eyes and gave me a seductive smile. "Can I have your number?"
"My number?" I muttered confused. I held my right hand in front of him with my wedding ring. "I am married."
The blond-haired man spat out the water and let out a laugh. His eyes twinkled as he shook his head at his friend.
I saw Esma look concerned out of the corner of my eye and I shook my head. "Don't worry," I muttered to her and she nodded.
After working for several hours in a row, I turned the board from open to closed.
Esma sank into a chair exhausted and I took a seat opposite her.
"Is everything alright?" I asked her, glancing at her bags under her eyes.
She rubbed her face and stared at the round table. "My father wants to take Noor away from me."
"What?" I muttered startled and leaned forward. "Why?"
She stared furiously at the table. "He thinks I can't take care of her and therefore wants her under his wing."
"What are you going to do now?" I asked carefully.
I can imagine how hard it must be for her to be separated from her sister.
Faid and I also had a lawsuit in our day. However, we did not have a psycho father who wanted to conquer his children with money and would risk everything for that. Even their luck.
Esma shrugged and looked out. "Now that Grandma has passed away, I have to start a lawsuit."
Grandma Flores got custody of Noor when her daughter - the mother of Esma and Noor - passed away. Now that Grandma Flores has passed away, Noor has no guardian. If Esma wants to take over the role, she has to file a lawsuit.
