I held onto the bottom of my dress and ran out of the room without looking back.
Run. Run. Run.
The disgust that I saw radiate from their eyes when they saw the video was engraved in my brain.
"Zara! Wait!" I heard Imran screaming behind me, but I ignored him completely.
Run. Run. Run.
Panic began to bubble up in me, but I didn't dare look back.
"He wants you back, Zara." His eyes pierced mine. "And he will do anything for that. Even if that means spreading this video," His eyes looked at me gloomily. "-or kill your betrothed."
He had done it. He f*cking did it.
Tears built up in my eyes. As if it wasn't chasing me, they try to rub it in too.
Just as I was about to run around the corner, an arm slipped around my waist and dragged me into a dark room.
Breathing started to get difficult, feeling the hot breath on my neck. "L-let me go, please-"
"Hello, Zara." Neor's light green eyes looked at me with amusement.
No.
I stepped away from him and looked around. It was a small room with a small sofa in one corner and a table next to it. A number of posts and vases with fake flowers. Other than that, it looked empty.
Neor crossed his arms and leaned against the door. "What a great show was that, don't you think?" His tone held humor.
My eyes looked at him fiercely. "Why did you do that!"
"You didn't follow my advice." He clicked his tongue dissatisfied. "You know what to expect now."
No.
I swallowed a lump a way.
His amusing look changed to a cold one. "I'm coming for you, Zara, and this time no one will be able to find you."
I shook my head abruptly and took more steps away from him. "No."
He rolled his bright green eyes. "Don't you dare say that to him. He's waiting for you outside."
No. Please.
"I'm not going!" I hissed his way. The image became blurry as tears streamed down my cheeks. "If I go this time, I won't get out alive."
His eyes softened for a second before recovering. "I'm sorry, Zara, but that's just what I was ordered to do. You're coming with me." He held my arm and pulled me toward the door.
"No!" I struggled hard under his grip. "Let me go!"
The door slammed open and the light suddenly went on. Imran stood surprised at the doorway. "What the f*ck?" Anger rose in his eyes as he realized the position I was in. "Let her go!"
Within a few steps he was standing in front of us and pulled Neor away from me before giving him a hard punch.
I wrapped my arms around my body.
Inhale and exhale.
"Stay away from her and don't touch her with your dirty fingers, Neor!" Knuckles flew in the air.
Imran and Neor know each other?
Punch after punch. Knuckle after knuckle. Blood spattered on the floor and fear began to settle in my heart.
