I slowly stirred the hot pan with a wooden spoon, staring lifelessly ahead.

The sound of the latch made me turn the stove down and sprint toward the front door.  "Did you find her?"  I asked as soon as I opened the door.

I felt my heart beat faster when I looked at Imran hopefully.

His somber look betrayed his answer.

Disappointed, I walked to the couch where I lowered myself.  I ran my hands through my hair as I tried to hold back my tears.

But in vain.

The silent space was soon filled with my sobs and the tears, which were of course not to be forgotten, began to flow slowly down my cheeks.

What am I doing?

I'm still staying in Imran's house.  Why?  Because I don't have anyone else.  Faid and I are still cross and Esma is in the hospital.

Two pairs of cold hands held my cheeks.  "We will find her, Zara," Imran tried to reassure me.

I shook my head, sobbing, and removed his hands from my face.  "We are a week further and there is no trace of Ela."

Fear was nestled in my chest like a log.  Knowing what Rayan is capable of made me fear for Ela's life.

Imran frowned.  "Do not say that-"

I turned away from him.  I couldn't hear him.  His face reminded me of the discovery Esma had made.

A sigh left Imran's mouth.  "Have you eaten anything yet?"  asked Imran after a long silence.

I kept quiet.

"Zara, you need something to eat-" His loud ringtone interrupted him.  I saw him walk out of the corner of my eye to the dining table and pick up.  "Faid?"

That caught my attention.

I turned around in surprise.  Faid calling Imran?  Why?  What is going on?

"We're coming," Imran muttered before hanging up and looking at me gravely.

My fingers started to tremble slowly.  "What happened?"

"Samira is in labor."

"Zara!"

I looked back to see Imran standing next to me, panting.

"W-what?"  I asked hastily as I pressed the elevator button.

His gaze fell on my outstretched stomach.  "Do not run."

I rolled my eyes and pressed the button again.

A sigh of relief left my mouth as the elevator doors opened and I sped inside.

Silence reigned in the elevator as I waited impatiently for the elevator to reach the 5th floor.

The elevator doors opened after a few minutes and I stepped out of the elevator.  Looking for the room where Samira was in.

Seeing my brother leaning nervously against the wall, I yelled, "Faid!"

He turned and looked around.  As soon as our eyes made contact, surprise appeared in his eyes.  He pushed his body off the wall and stood up.  "Zara?"

I nodded with a smile and quickened my steps toward him.

A smile graced his lips and he wrapped his arms around me.  I closed my eyes and enjoyed his warmth.
