"Zara, listen to me," Faid uttered in frustration as he followed me.
I rolled my eyes and continued my steps towards the garden.
"Zara, stop running away," he growled irritably.
I opened the sliding doors and stepped outside. The march weather touched my body and I took in the heat.
A sigh left my mouth at the feeling of the sunbeams on my arms.
I took my steps towards the garden chairs. "Faid, if he finds out I'm pregnant with him, he'll take the baby from me."
Esma looked up as I took a seat next to her. She closed her book and slid a full glass of banana shake my way.
"Yours?" I asked her.
She shook her head and looked toward the pool Noor was in. "From Noor, but she doesn't want it."
Chuckling, I took a sip from the glass. I closed my eyes of the delicious taste that filled my mouth.
I heard Faid sit across from me. "No, he won't."
I opened my eyes and pierced my eyes into his. "You do not know."
A sigh left his mouth as he ran his hands over his face. "Zara, he'll find out anyway. Whether it's through you or through the court."
He removed his hands from his face and sat up straight. "The most sensible option is to tell him yourself and make your will clear."
Esma nodded in agreement.
I pressed my lips together, clearly displeased.
"Zara!" Noor ran towards us with a large towel around her. "Why didn't you tell us you have such a huge pool in the garden!" she expressed enthusiastically.
Esma tried to give Noor a look, but Noor was way too distracted for that. "Gosh, Zara. I don't understand why you don't want to live here." Her eyes rolled appreciatively from the large yard to the house.
"Noor," Esma warned in a motherly tone.
Noor sighed and rolled her eyes.
An akward atmosphere hung over us when one wanted to avoid the other.
"Family!" we suddenly heard Samira calling and we looked towards the house. Samira walked into the garden with Mira in her arms.
Samira lowered Mira to the ground and Mira, happy to be able to walk herself, ran towards us. When we arrived, Mira jumped up and down as she held my hands. "Auntie, auntie!" she cried enthusiastically.
I stroked her hair with a smile. "Yes?"
Her twinkling eyes looked at me. "Where Ela?"
A smile left my mouth. "Sleeping, Mira."
She pouted her lips, clearly displeased.
I pressed my lips to her cheek. "She'll wake up soon."
Mira crossed her arms and frowned.
I pressed a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "In the meantime, let's get some ice cream?" I asked Mira when I looked at Samira.
Samira nodded with a small smile.
Mira's frown disappeared immediately and she began to jump back and forth enthusiastically.
Laughing, I got up from my chair.
"Zara," Faid muttered anxiously.
I gave him a reassuring look. "We'll be back in 10 minutes." My eyes slid to Noor. "Are you coming too?"
