Charlie woke in bed next to Tom. Things had suddenly changed between them and they had been bickering a lot. Charlie didn't know what had happened. But she was worried she was going to lose him.

Tom looked to her and smiled. "You okay?"

"Yeah. I'm fine. Are we okay? Its just... the last couple of days, there's been so much tension with us. And I don't know what it is," she mumbled.

Tom shrugged. "We're fine. Why wouldn't we be?"

"I don't know. It just hasn't felt the same since I went for dinner with my dad," Charlie said.

Tom sighed and climbed out of bed. He looked at her. "We're fine."

Charlie watched as he walked off downstairs. She sighed and climbed out of bed. She got ready for work.

The two of them went into work. Tom kissed her cheek and walked off. Charlie sighed. She frowned as she saw Max arriving with Mia.

Charlie smirked and walked over. "And what's going on here?" she asked.

Mia smiled. "Nothing. My car wouldn't start. So I asked Max if he could give me a lift in. I would have called you. But I didn't want to pull you away from your hot sex."

"I didn't get sex. You, however, look thoroughly shagged. So come on... who was he? Or is that a stupid question considering you arrived with my brother?"

Mia shrugged. "I don't know what you're talking about," she said as she walked off.

Charlie looked to Max. "Don't hurt her again. I know it's what you're used to. But don't hurt her," she said.

"I'll try."

Charlie was sitting in the staffroom. She smiled as Tom walked in. He looked at her. "Do you wanna go for dinner tonight? Me and you. I think we need it," he said.

Charlie frowned but nodded. She couldn't help but worry that he was going to finish with her. She looked at him. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah. Just figured we could both do with a treat away from cooking," Tom said as he walked over to her and kissed her. "I love you. You know that right?"

Charlie nodded and smiled. She looked at him. "I love you too."

Tom smiled and walked off. Mia walked over. "Is everything okay? I just couldn't help but notice that you both seemed tense," Mia commented.

Charlie sighed. "I don't know. Things are tense with us. It's only been like it since I went for dinner with my dad. And I don't know what's happened. Or what happened there. But I know that things are so different with us."

Mia frowned. "Could your dad have said something to him?"

"I don't know. I don't think my dad knows what Tom looks like," Charlie said.

Mia shrugged and smiled. "I don't know babes. I just hope you sort it."

"Me too. Anyway, you can be honest. Did you sleep with Max last night?" Charlie asked.

Mia groaned. She nodded. "Yeah. He came over to get some stuff he left at mine. And it just happened. I can't believe it."

Charlie smirked and winked. "It's clear that there are still feelings there with you both," she said.

Tom and Charlie were sitting in the restaurant. Neither of them were talking. And Charlie had no idea what she going to do. She just had to figure it out. She had to figure out why Tom had suddenly become distant with her.

But was there an underlying reason for it?
