Immediately, Claude almost pulled the trigger aimed at Carl's head.

'Canillian's dead?'

'That's absurd. It wasn't part of the plan.'

"That's interesting, Duke."

Ian indignantly said, raising his sword. Then the frightened doctor kneeled down to the floor and grabs Claude's pants.

"No! No, I... I was called because I had a patient! T-the! I saw the woman dead and ran away. Argh!"

The doctor's hand was pierced by Ian's sword. There was no mercy in Ian's sword.
The doctor screamed and rolled on the floor.

Claude pushed away the doctor that was clinging to him and begging for help, and jumped into the anchored boat.

One side of the boat tilts, and those who are hiding from the lights of the police spring out and jumped into the river. Most of them were children, scattered in confusion, who looked too young to commit crimes.

As he heads inside, Claude felt his eyes heated up.

'Don't die.'

'Canillian is not dead. No, I won't leave it that way.'

A cold sweat flowed down on his forehead.

As if running in a dream, things such as the wind, atmosphere, and noise are blocking his way.

Claude didn't even pay attention to the fleeing people, and kicked the door of the cabin. Then he saw a lantern rolling on the floor with a sound of something breaking.

"Damn it!"

The man who saw him running towards the window in the cabin. Even
though in the darkness, Claude pulled the trigger without hesitation. The bullet penetrates the enemy's thigh and blood gushed out.

"Argh!"

The man screamed and fell out of the window. At that moment, the boat tilted sharply to one side. The lantern that was on the floor, rolled to his feet.

Thanks to this, he can clearly see Canillian curled up on the floor.

"Canillian!"

When Canillian found him, she breathed out in relief and relaxed her body. Claude helped Canillian raise a bit and made her lean on his chest.

"There's nothing much."

Canillian's voice trembles as if she had chills. Her bloodstained lips, tattered dress, and the wounds in her hand caused by an incorrect grip on the dagger stands out.

Fortunately, she didn't seem to have suffered a major trauma.

The shout of the police that followed him into the cabin sounded far from
Claude's ear.

He carefully wrapped Canillian's back. Her pale hands were trembling
uncontrollably.

"The boat will sink. The last one that escaped shot a hole in the floor!"

They heard a cry of a police looking outside.

At that time, Ian approached as Claude was trying to help Canillian up, and said.

"I'll take him."

"He needs to get treated."

"I can do it, Duke."

Claude glanced at Ian as he looked down at Lia. Canillian is unharmed, but she was quite in shock and out of focus.

Ian lowers his body and puts his hand on Canillian's shoulder.
