However, the first thing that the person who opened the door come face to
face with was the hawk, that was sitting on the mantle by the fireplace.

"Argh! Claude!"

With its strong wings flapping, the intruder screamed. The one who barged in Canillia's room was Wade.

Wade got frightened by the hawk's sudden attack and was pushed out of the door, still shouting for Claude.

"Goddamn it, Fallen! We've been together for years. Why don't you still recognize me? Grand Duke! Do something about him!"

The Prince's cry of help echoes in the hallway of the second floor.

Claude covered Lia with a blanket, looking at the direction where the rude
saboteur had been kicked out.

"Stay here."

"That was His Majesty's voice."

Lia was quite startled and turned pale.

Claude lowered her head, then
kissed Lia on the cheek and ordered.

"That's right. So never make eye contact with Wade."

"I should greet him..."

"In that state?"

Canillia took a deep breath and nodded as she looks sad. Claude stood up after making sure that she's covered in the blanket.

Claude whistled while watching Wade being pushed farther into the hallway. Fallen heard the whistle and flew back to the sofa, its chest is puffed up.

"Good job, Fallen."

Claude touched the hawk's beak, with its chest still proudly puffed out, and
walked towards Wade, who had collapsed.

"Your Highness, your face is beyond description."

Claude reached out his hand, like he was being kind.

Wade accepted Claude's hand and raised his body, after then his complaints burst out.

"Why don't you
close your robe, ha? No matter how good you look, it's not nice to flaunt it like that."

"So, are you here to bother me?"

"I'm not here to disturb. I'm a bit jealous, hearing that you've been monopolizing Canillian since yesterday."

Jealous.

Claude scoffed and glanced at the sofa where Canillian was hiding.

Unlike yesterday, Wade looks much cleaner now and proudly took a step.

However, Claude blocked the way and closed the door with a serious look.

"Canillian is not in there. Instead, the one inside is my lady."

"Your lady... That's not what Rosina had told me. I heard that she gave this
room to Canillian... Who is she?"

"My Clematis."

"Your Clematis...?"

Wade laughed in disbelief.

Claude had no intention of informing the Prince about Canillia's identity. Regardless if the Prince had already guessed it.

He closed his gaping robe and pulled out a cigarette case from Wade's shirt pocket.

The Prince's expression relaxed once he saw Claude's calm demeanor.

"You're the only one who's really rude to me. Do you know that?"

Claude didn't even pretend to hear it.
