Yamaguchi's POV before the confession

I'm trying. I'm trying so hard to return her feelings. I just can't seem to love her like that. For weeks, I grew closer with her than I had ever been. Discovering things that she only told Tsukki about. Yet I still see her not more than just my little sister.

What am I doing wrong. . ? How can I cure this stupid disease? I have so much questions in my mind.

"Yams. . ." [Y/N] called as we walked to school. She didn't look too happy. Instead, a frown was plastered on her face before shifting it into a reassuring smiling. "You don't have to force yourself into liking me anymore."

She knows? What? How? When?

"W-what?" I just had to make sure.

"I know you overheard that convo about my disease" She said, looking at the ground the whole time. "I'm okay now Yams. You don't have to force yourself anymore." Then I noticed, she wasn't wearing the glasses anymore. Was she finally okay? Her smile looked so real.

"A-are you- sure?-" She nodded, a bright smile plastered on her face. She looked so happy. I hugged her tightly in my embrace. "I'm glad.." I cried into her shoulders, tears absorbed on her blazer.

She patted my back, "Thank you, Yams. I'll make sure to pay you back. You like Yachi right? Why don't you confess?"

"W-wha-what do I have to?! I- I mean- don't you think this- that- you're- taking it too fast?!" Words came out like bullets that I mixed them up. We continued walking since neither of us didn't wanna be late.

"It's better to take it fast than taking it slow. You don't wanna end up like me don't you?" She chuckled. She sure had one hell of an experience.

"True. . ."

"Yams, everything is ready." She whispered into my ear while I was packing my stuff.

"Are you sure? What if it'll go wrong?" She placed her hand on my shoulder and smiled. Her smile always increases my confidence. I just can't seem to decline it now. She has it all prepped. For me.

"Trust me, Yams. Get her."

"REALLY [Y/N]?!" I just happened to have the urge to shout. This is it. Our happy ending. "OH GOD THANK YOU! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! YOU ARE THE BEST! I PROMISE YOU WON'T REGRET IT [Y/N]!" I hugged her again. What did I ever do to deserve her. The most considerate friend that had ever existed.

The confession went better than I expected. I didn't expect it to end so well. I didn't expect that I would be hugging Yachi like this as we both cry. I looked up to see [y/n] & Tsukki talking. I'm glad. I'm glad everything would end like this. I hope they would have their own happy ending as well.
