"What is he doing!" Hange screamed as the Armored Titan roared.
Flashbacks came rushing into my mind as I remembered the Female Titan letting out an eerily similar scream for the purpose of calling other Titans to her. An act that had destroyed our entire plan and caused a multitude of deaths within our ranks.
As the situation currently stood, Eren had the Armored Titan pinned to the ground, his legs secured around Reiner's waist, rendering him stuck in one place.
But what was that scream about? Was it a distress call, a signal for Bertholdt to act, or simply a roar of agony from the pain of the joint hold?
Our small group looked at one another with unease, unsure of what to expect.
Someone yelling from atop the Wall caused us all to look up.
"Move away!"
I squinted just in time to see the horrifying, jaw-agape expression of the Colossal Titan hurling itself at an incredible speed toward Eren and the Armored Titan. It wasn't falling—it was aiming, a deliberate, massive suicide dive.
"He's coming down!" Moblit screamed.
My squad made an effort to get out of the way, grappling to the Wall, but we were too late. We were too close to the point of impact, and the distance from the Wall was deceptive.
A loud explosion filled my ears, the sound a physical wave that struck my chest. Thick steam instantly clouded my vision as the Colossal Titan made impact with its target. The steam wasn't just hot; it was scalding, burning through my uniform instantly.
A searing hot sensation was felt throughout my body, and the incredible force of the Colossal's descent sent me flying through the air. My vision blurred as my body numbed to my surroundings before everything went black.

Darkness bathed my thoughts as I battled the unconsciousness that enclosed me. Bits and pieces of information shot through my mind: Armoured Titan... Eren... Colossal... explosion.
I attempted to open my eyes, a small action that felt incredibly strenuous. Finally, after a short battle, my eyes fluttered open.
I groaned as my senses returned. Above me was a bright, blinding sky, a hard surface beneath my back, the murmur of voices surrounding me, and a painful tingling throughout my body. But the worst part was the distinct smell of burnt flesh that immediately hit my nose.
Someone had removed my ODM gear and cloak, which was now folded neatly underneath my head as a pillow.
I attempted to turn my head to the side. Hange was lying on my right, her body littered with burns, murmuring pained noises even in her unconscious state.
"Hange..." I croaked, my voice scratchy.
"You're up..." A recognizable voice said from above. I turned to see Armin and Mikasa standing at my side. They seemed safe, mostly uninjured save for a few scratches.
Armin sat down to speak to me. "You're burnt pretty bad," he grimaced. "Do you remember what happened?"
My memory came rushing back. The surprise attack, Hange's plan for Eren to buy time, and the Armored Titan's roar—a signal to Bertholdt. The Colossal Titan had fallen directly onto Eren, engulfing us all in extreme heat.
"Eren and Ymir were both taken, weren't they?" I inquired solemnly, my voice still raspy.
Mikasa gritted her teeth, leaving Armin to nod slowly, a sober expression on his face.
I sighed and attempted to sit up. As I moved, a hot sensation ran through my body, pain shooting through my arms and legs like fire. I reeled and groaned, laying back down and squeezing my eyes shut.
