Quick note: Charles is the son of Hurbert's best friend, Ronald, who disappeared over the bermuda triangle on the boy's 14th christmas. Hubert is Charlie's godfather (not related by blood and no adoption papers have ever been signed.) So Hubert is more of an unofficial uncle in locoparentis (the acting role of parent).
