... Elizabeth...

I wake up to an empty room. It's dark outside and not even Blaise is in here with me. Where is everyone?

Feeling better than I have in a while, I take off my heart monitors and IV. I swing my feet over the side of the bed and wobbly get to my feet. I almost slip, but quickly regain my balance.

I walk out of the room, brave enough to conquer any teachers or students walking this way. None do though. All of the hallways are dark, but with my ability to see better in the dark, it's no big deal. I walk past Ms. Keefe's office without detection.

I quietly open the door to the open air, the cool wind kissing my cheek. I breathe it in and sigh. I continue walking until I can see the moon. It's only a little crescent, but bright none the less.

I lean against a giant oak tree I used to like to sit under while I did homework. That seems like it happened a million years ago. I sigh and remember the old times.

Suddenly, I'm down on my knees. Well, not really. It feels like I'm still standing. What's happening to me?!

My whole body starts to tickle and my lower back starts to hurt. My ears feel like they're being stretched two times their size and my nose feels like someone with a grip like iron is pulling it. The pain intensifies in my chest, and I pass out.
