... Elizabeth ...

I drive the whole way to Virginia without a blink of sleep or anything to eat. Blaise sleeps the whole time in the passenger seat, snoring all of his stress away. Lucky.

Traffic was alright, and made my trip quicker. Only twenty five hours. Yeah, my butt hurts.

At about seven in the morning, I pull into Newport News Virginia. I know exactly where I'm going. My Aunt Kelsey's house. She and her husband, Uncle Nate, have always welcomed me with open arms and always backed up my decisions. But they have no idea that I was a Hunter.

I roam into Shimmering Rivers neighborhood and park in the driveway of 878 Shimmering Oak Avenue. I sigh and glance over at Blaise, who's still curled up in a small ball.

Wake up, we're here. I gently coax him awake.

Already? He raises his head and yawns.

Yeah, I'm at my Aunt Kelsey's house in Virginia. I pick him up and open the door of my truck. As soon as I step out, my legs feel a tremendous amount of relief. I stretch and pop my joints.

I look around and enjoy the comfort of my Aunts house. Her house is a purplish mauve color, with a nice curve around porch and lots of windows. Her house is one story, making it very intimate and cozy.

I walk towards the front door and ring the bell. I hear shuffling feet and the door opens a little afterwards. "Elizabeth? What are you doing here?" Aunt Kelsey, a kind looking woman with brown eyes and hair answers the door. Mom got all the looks, but Aunt Kelsey got the kind heart.

"Hey, Aunt Kelsey." I hug her, and almost squish Blaise.

"What are you doing here?" She hugs me back.

"I'll explain it all in a moment. Can I come in?" I ask and she opens the door wider so I can come in. The inside of her house is just as small as it looks on the outside, with mix-matching rugs and curtains, hardwood floors, and books stacked in piles all around the home. It is one of the homiest places I've ever been. I go into the living room and sit down on one of her leather recliners.

I like this place. Blaise purrs.

"Why'd you drive twenty five hours here?" Aunt Kelsey walks in and sits on the couch across from me.

"Well first of all, I think I need to tell you everything." I sigh and share how I was a Huntress. "Then I was bit on an assignment and became a Vampire."

A nervous laugh escapes Aunt Kelsey. "Did you hit your head on the way here? Do I need to call a doctor?"

"It's true though. Here let me show you." I lean forward and click in my fangs. She gasps and tries to make herself as small as possible on the couch.

"T-that's impossible." She whispers and I shake my head.

"I wish it was, but it's not." I look down at Blaise. "And then I said a prophecy in my sleep. And it's was going to come true if I stayed at the school. Everyone would die because of me."

"This can't be happening." She gets up and starts pacing. I watch her as she does.

"Because of all the venom inserted in me from the Vampire that bit me, I can control creatures of the night. I found Blaise, and he could speak to me in my mind. We've been inseparable ever since." I look into my kittens blue eyes.

"Blaise? As in your cat?" Aunt Kelsey stops pacing and stares at me.

Yes. I can even speak to you. He purrs and she pales.
