The next two days fly by without word from Daniel, which is really making me angry. My blood bottles have been disappearing every other day in a continuous pattern, keeping me weak and cranky. I really don't like some people.

Hey, try to be a little more enthusiastic today. Blaise has grown, I swear, three inches. He now has a thick, luscious coat of midnight black without any kitten fur. My little baby has grown up on me.

I'll try Mr. Exuberant. I grumble, even though it feels good to have someone worry about me. No one has worried about me except for Blaise and Isaac. Tracy and Daniel have sort of drifted away.

Thank you. Now smile and try to look a little happier. Just A smitch would do. I put a weak smile on my face and try to give myself an air of comfort.

Thanks, Blaise. I have no idea what I'd do without you. You're my better half to put it simply. I scratch behind his ears and he purrs. Well I sadly have to go to school, so bye, love you. I call to him as I shut the door behind me and run to Ms. Keefe.

Yesterday my blood didn't come, so I've gone for about two days without eating a single thing, and it's really pressing on my gut.

"Vampires are not as invincible as you think. They can starve to death if they don't eat for about a week, you can puncture their heart, or you can decapitate them. There is also burning, but we don't use that method. Too long. The easiest is puncturing the heart." Mr. Toliver drawls on and on in Analogy of Vampires. Seventh period is by far, the worst class I've ever had. It's so boring.

These hunger pangs are almost as bad as the day I came to school for the first time as a Vampire. I curl into a ball at my desk, hopefully going unnoticed in the back of the room.

"They need blood to drink, so that their heart continues to live. Their body doesn't produce enough blood to live on, so they take it from creatures with an abundance of it. Humans." Mr. Toliver looks over and catches my eye. His large, dilated brown eye glints mischievously.

"Here is an example of a Vampire without enough necessary blood." He walks over and glances down at me. He tenderly reaches a hand towards me, but I click my fangs in and hiss at him. That gets him away.

"It seems she hasn't ate in about two or three days and the throbbing in her stomach will only get worse. Hard to believe, I know. It's already so painful." He explains to the class and I rest my head on my desk.

"The home blood is the type all Vampires crave for. Nothing is as rich as their home blood to them." Mr. Toliver teaches and the image of a bottle of blood pops into my head.

Without warning, I jump out of my desk and walk briskly out of the class room and to Ms. Keefe's office. I don't even knock before opening. She's signing some paperwork on her desk and she jumps up when I open the door.

"Blood." I rasp out and she nods. She pulls out a bottle from underneath her desk and I run over to it. It can't be. No. It's AB-. Perfect! I screw the top off and drink it all in one gulp. Flavors explode in my mouth and I sigh in pleasure. The rich, fruity taste slides easily down my throat.

"Are you alright, Elizabeth?" Ms. Keefe asks me once I've finished. "You look like you've missed a few meals."

"Someone has been taking my blood every other night. It's never gotten this bad before though." I love the feeling of being full and refreshed.

"Do you know who's been doing this?"

"If I did, I wouldn't be here, would I?" I sit down in one of Ms. Keefe's chairs.

"I guess not. When this happens, send Blaise down with a bag. I'll give you another bottle." She taps her bottom lip with her pen.

"Thank you. I'll eventually find out who's been doing this and catch them." I promise her and start to get up.
