Before you knew it, the four of you were swinging to a stop outside the park where the machine had crashed.
Peter 1 was wearing his 'makeshift' Spider-Man suit and it was quite funny seeing him fumble around with keeping his mask on properly.
"You know," You tell him as you walk through the park gates, "If we're stuck here, I promise I'll make you a new suit."
You smile at him as he tilts his head awkwardly.
The four of you continue to walk across the winding paths and towards the spot of the wreckage.
You find your eyes wondering across the picturesque scenery. It was quiet which made it nicer, there were only one or two dog walkers and that was it. Things seemed a lot brighter in this universe and you liked it for that.
Without warning, you collide with the back of one of the Peters, making you curse and apologise really quickly but none of them noticed.
They were just frozen, staring at something in front of them.
You peer over Peter 3's shoulder to see what the fuss was all about and feel your mouth dry almost instantly.
What used to be the time machine was covered by a huge yellow tent with a hazard symbol on its material.
It looked as if people were inside of it because you heard noises of whirring and you assume they must've been cutting it up or something.
If they were then it was certainly going to be a lot harder to get to the machine if there was even a machine left.
"Those are Stark Robots!" Peter 1 points to a robot walking out from behind the tent.
You sharply inhale, this situation was getting worse by the minute.
"Wait, is that a bad thing or a good thing?" Peter 2 asks, still staring at the tent.
"Depends on how you look at it." You admit, "Stark is a good man but whether he'll let us hear the machine again is another question entirely."
"We could explain the situation to him." Peter 1 suggests, "Maybe he could help."
"I don't think we should put our trust in the man that easily." Peter 3 declares.
The four of you debate for a little while. You all stand completely still and just stare at the tent whilst you argue. It must've been a weird sight to see. Four Spider-Men or women.. we don't know... for sure.
"We won't know what he'll be like until we-" You suddenly stop speaking, noticing a Stark Bot had locked its visuals directly on you.
You gulp, "Are you guys seeing this?"
The Bot started whirring and gliding towards you. It sort of looked a bit like Iron Man but it had faded colours so it couldn't have been.
"Shit." You hear Peter 3 murmur as the device nears the four of you.
Even though the Bot didn't say a word, you could almost hear the voice in its mechanism.
"Unknown Energy Source Detected. Unknown Energy Source Detected. Unknown Energy Source Detected."
You all didn't move, acting sort of like you would when approached by a bear or something. Maybe if you froze it would move on. But you knew that was unlikely.
"Should we just... run?" Peter 1 whispers from the side of his mouth.
"I think s-" You stop speaking suddenly and flop to the ground.
Your body went limp as you lost control of your limbs and your mind started whirling. You couldn't move your mouth to speak to the others or cry out in pain, all you could do was lie there on the cold floor.
Your head started banging again and all you could hear was the hiss of gas being released before it all went black.
Damn.
You'd just been sleeping gassed.
