"Does that explain anything to you?" Harry continues, stuck in his own world of pride and glee.

Your feet were barely on the glider and you were holding onto one of Harry's shoulder guards for dear life in case he dropped you.

However, you were a couple of steps ahead of him as you ran your eyes around the tree line looking for a route around the branches and a quick way to save the Peters.

Harry continued speaking, only glancing back at you at the end of what he was saying, "Or would you prefer to hear the-"

He noticed you readying your web shooters and glared at you in anger.

He rocked the glider, sending you tumbling towards the floor.

You scream as you fall and everything went slowly.

His face flashed with delight at your horrified expression. He clearly loved that you felt as if you were going to die.

It was almost like what happened to Gwen from Peter 3's universe. She was dropped by the goblin too.

However, you slammed into a tree as a grappling hook attached itself to your wrist and pinned you there.

Harry glided back down to meet your eye contact, shaking his head in mock disappointment.

"I think I'm going to tell you the whole story." Harry says aloud, sounding almost like he was talking to himself. He was clearly losing it, "Maybe now you'll be able to empathise."

You didn't respond, you just wanted him to hurry up telling his story so that you could get your friends out of this.

There was no plan. Just attack when he looks vulnerable and see what happens.

"As you know," Harry begins, "I built a machine for you."

Guilt started to churn in your stomach. You hadn't thought as much about that as you should've and it made you feel rotten inside.

"And I was trying to make you finally happy." He continues, almost looking sad.

"I thought you were my friend and I thought you'd say no because you'd want to stay back with me or something like that. I thought it'd prove that you really were my best friend. That we would stick together.

"But, I was stupid enough to let you go. I guess I was happy for you. Or something dumb like that." He sniffed but quickly covered it, "So when the machine malfunctioned I guess I wanted to save you. I rushed over to pull you out before things got worse but ended up touching this chemical that was leaking from the sides. I got dragged along with you and your friends to this stupid reality.

"And then when I woke up, I felt different. More powerful. More like me. The Harry before was weak, naive and emotional, he cared about stupid things. In fact, you're an example of one of them. Stupid."

You frown at the insult, it sounded as if he was trying to confirm to himself that you were stupid which was a little weird.

Maybe there was a little bit of conflict between the two personalities. You hoped Harry could break through from them.

"Stupid?" You rack your brains for a way to get Harry in control again, "Not as stupid as that one time in third grade-"

"Shut up!" The goblin roared, spinning round and using the edge of his glider to cut the side of your face, "I know what you're doing now let me continue."

He couldn't have been entirely in control because tears were flowing from his eyes but his expression hadn't changed from its goblinish look. It was a strange sight.

"As I was saying," Harry continued, "I crawled away from your bodies, grateful that you were all finally dead. I'd never had such rage against you before but suddenly it was the only thing that mattered and I practically swelled with pride thinking that I killed you and your friends."

He frowned, looking down at the floor far below you with sorrowful eyes before whipping his head back to face you with superhuman speed and one of his famous grins on his face.

"So you can imagine it was a shock to me when I saw you leaping across the rooftops the next day. I honestly thought I was done for when you stopped and started staring at where I was walking but it turns out you weren't looking at me."

He pointed an accusatory finger at Peter 1, "Him. Of course it'd be him."

You would've said something but you knew better now, he'd probably just shut you up anyway.

"I still managed to put my watch in his bag." He shrugged, "Then, I managed to track it from a computer and bingo, right at the compound. The Avengers compound. Such an honour."

He mocks you all, looking at all the insects he'd caught in his web.

"The part of the compound that Peter 1 was in had some really cool stuff." He looks down at his suit, "Too cool to leave behind. Hell, I've even got some web fluid, how else would I have trapped these spiders."

He scoffed. "I've got to thank Tony Stark himself for creating such fine materials."

And then you hear a voice that makes you realise that not all hope was lost and not all the avengers had abandoned you.

"Thank him in person."

It was Iron Man.
