The five of you worked hard on mending the time machine.
Although you wouldn't exactly phrase it as 'mending,'. It was more like 'semi-starting-from scratch.'
Tony used a fabricator to re-piece and sometimes replace the machine parts whilst you and the other Peters tinkered away with the parts, fixing whatever was broken.
You slide out from underneath the massive hunk of metal. It looked quite impressive so far.
"Your friend is.." Iron Man stops, adjusting something on his screen, "..quite smart actually."
"Was." You muttered, correcting him as you welded a piece of vibranium to the machine to strengthen it.
After a little while the machine was starting to come together. It looked almost identical to how it was before, only stark had cheekily replaced the plate that said 'Property of Oscorp' to 'Stark Technology'.
You would've argued about it but you couldn't be bothered anymore. Besides, it was mostly stark tech now. You hoped that it would be more reliable because of it.
You finally finished the machine just as your eyes started to droop. The birds had started singing and everyone had just started to wake up after the party since you could hear the bustling through the walls.
You hoped that Wanda was alright now, she had a lot going on in her head and you really felt for her.
You stepped back from the machine, rubbing your eyes and admiring your work. It looked way better than it did when you first got inside it and you thought that this time it might actually work properly.
"Okay Spider-Kiddos." Tony says, clapping his hands together, "Who's first?"
"Woah just like that?" You raise your eyebrows, "We just go back? No questions asked?"
"Do you have any questions?" Tony asks, looking down at you from his fabricator.
"Not really." You shrug, "I- I don't really know."
"Then yes, just like that." Tony gives you a little smile, "We're sending you back."
Tony jumped down from his workplace and closer to the machine, swinging the door open.
"So we don't get to say goodbye to the avengers?" Peter 3 asks, glancing at the lab's open door, probably wanting to go out and chat to the others.
"Do you want to?" Tony says, adjusting his glasses.
"Yes." You perk up, glancing at Peter 2 and Peter 3 and urging them to do the same as you.
"Sure." Peter 2 nods, looking confusedly at you.
Tony thought for a minute, as if contemplating the worst possible outcomes, "Well you've already met them already so I don't see the harm."
"What's the excuse then?" You ask, "So they don't know we're from other universes and returning home."
"I'll think of something." Tony says, walking out of the room.
Even though you hadn't spent much time with the avengers you would still consider them as friends. But that was mainly because you needed more friends, you only had three now.
Tony leads you down the corridor to the kitchen as Peter 2 fires questions at him.
"You know the Avengers-" He begins.
"Yes I do know the Avengers very well." Tony interrupts and Peter 2 rolls his eyes.
Peter 2 waited for a minute before continuing, "So as I was saying, I thought there would be more Avengers, because I've only seen.. what... about.. five?"
"He has a point." Peter 1 adds, glancing at Tony for an answer.
"Well, Bruce is off radar," Tony admits before realising that the lot of you probably didn't know, "That's hulk by the way."
Tony continues, "Thor is somewhere in the cosmos doing whatever a god does with his spare time, errrr, Clint is staying with his family trying to live a normal life," Tony pauses as if trying to remember more, "That's about it to be honest."
"Shame." Peter 3 admits, "I would've wanted to meet Hulk was it? Nat was telling me he was a failed experiment with gamma radiation? Sounds interesting."
You nudge him in the elbow, quietly whispering a word to him as you approach the common room.
"Nerd." You smirk as you enter a room filled with the some of the most powerful humans on the planet.
