It was nighttime when you finally woke up and all the memories flooded back to you.
Words and images clouded your brain as you tried to piece together what happened with the machine.
He was sending you back. Back to see your friends again.
You could barely remember stepping inside the actual machine but you did remember waving to Harry.
You could vividly remember the look on his face as you left and the single tear that tricked down his face as the door slammed behind you, condemning you into the depths of time.
He was a true friend and you were going to miss him now that you were... actually.. you had no idea where you were.
The only thing that you knew for certain was that the time machine had broken, the last sparks of electricity and the bits of scrap metal around you proved that.
In all fairness, it wasn't Harry's fault that the machine broke. It was your Spider-Man suit's.
You see, the fabric that it was made from came from another universe which the machine couldn't stand and kept spitting out. It was the only plausible explanation.
However, it meant that you were probably going to be stuck wherever you were right now for a long time since you had no idea how to fix the machine or even if it was too far beyond repair. It certainly looked it.
You climb away from the wreckage of the machine, dragging your now broken leg behind you.
You cursed as the pain cut into you like a red hot knife slicing through your joints.
The machine's crash had been tough on both the machine, you and the floor around you that had been dented with the impact.
But back to the point, where or even when were you?
You glance around the surroundings and notice that you were in a park at probably around 2:00am.
The grass was damp and the moon was high. Cold air whisked past you, making the cuts and bruises on your face sting. Unlit tarmac paths spread around the greenery, looking like strips of deep black in the bad lighting.
There was absolutely no way of telling what year it was since you were literally in a park and all parks look the same no matter the year.
So you decided to hobble away from the time machine and through the park to find an exit.
Your leg ached like hell and with every step the pain spread further and further up your body until you couldn't stand the pain anymore.
You collapsed onto the floor as you writhed in agony for a few seconds before completely passing out.
You were in deep shit now.
