Chapter 15: End of year dance!

Your name is Dave and you are getting ready for your big end of year dance. You are wearing your black suit with the broken record symbol on the upper right of the jacket.

Once you reach Jade's you knock on the door and she answers it, you are left there in awe. She looks.. Amazing, she has a long black dress with a green strap on the waist. You see her sparkly emerald eyes light up when she see's you.

You pull out a rose from behind and kneel down offering it to her. You look ip and see her covering up her face as she giggles, a bright red color spreads across her face. She takes the rose and sniffs it. "It's beautiful, hehe thank you."

You smirk "not as beautiful as you." You say grabbing her hand. Her face turns darker red. "You look really handsome Dave." She giggles, you smirk blushing lightly under your shades. "Thanks."

She looks the door behind her and interlocks fingers with you as you begin to walk to the dance. You reach the door and open it letting Jade in first, she giggles and walks in.

You walk and meet up with your friends at one of the tables. It's odd how it turned into a little group of lovers, you smirk. "Hey where's John?" This little kid with a little brown mohawk sitting close and nervously with Vriska turns and signals to the floor where he was dancing with that Roxy girl to this up beat song.

The song ended short after so they walked back and greeted you and Jade. You all sit for a few minutes enjoying the punch the dance has to offer. The Dj soon comes on the mic "hey! How is everyone doing tonight?" Everyone cheered "ok so up next is our first slow songs of the night, so don't worry if you miss it love birds there will be plenty more!" You grab Jade's hand and take her to the dance floor. You are in the middle of the floor with the disco ball directly above you two.

The world seemed to slow down as you pulled her closer with your hands around her waist and her's around your neck. You enjoy every minute as if you were in heaven, you actually are smiling.

It's honestly kinda weird but you can live with it, you love the feeling of being with her, of seeing her smile then giggle. You love her...

(Jade's POV)
You are slow dancing with Dave and you focus on his face for a minute, wait... Is he, smiling!? Oh my god he is!! That's amazing, its like a miracle or something. You laugh a little after hearing yourself say that in your head.

You pull his shades off and place them on his head. He is a little nervous still to show anyone his eyes. You remember him tell you about being picked on for his eyes, sadly he wouldn't just back down so he would get in a bunch of fights with bullies.

You just quickly peek at his eyes so no one can see them. "Dave." "Yea?" "Your eyes are really pretty." His smile grow slightly "thanks Jade, but no one will say that. They are weird and unnatural." He looks to the ground, "Dave, don't be sad. You don't have to deal with those old bullies. Ignore anyone else who says that. They are idiots and they don't know what the hell they are talking about." She said lifting your chin, you smirk "I love you Jade." She smiled "I love you too." You leaned in and kissed her, she kissed back softly.

The song soon ended and you both made your way back to your seats. On your way back to your seats Dave trips and hurts his ankle. You help him back to his seat and pull up a chair to elevate his leg.

He became kinda jerky afterwards and he kinda pissed you off. As you were getting up to get him punch you saw karkat at the punch bowl. He looked kinda nervous and upset.

"Hi karkat! What's wrong?" He turns to you "OH, HI JADE. I SAW NEPETA FLIRTING WITH EQUIUS AND THEY LIKE KISSED AND SHE DIDNT EVEN JUMP OR ANYTHING SHE TOTALLY WENT ALONG WITH IT!" You put your hand on his shoulder.

"I'm so sorry about that." He looks up to you "THANKS..." He looks into your eyes for a minute and kisses you. You quickly break off hoping no one saw, but when you look over and see the expression on Dave's face. He looked like he got shot, his shades were slightly above his eyes and his mouth was gapping wide.

(Dave's POV)
You are thinking there is absolutely no way she just did that. You cannot believe your eyes, you soon after storm out of the dance and speed walk home locking yourself in your room.

You're trying your best not to cry but its really fucking hard to do. Tears run down your face as you gulp down an apple juice. You hear your phone go off.

GardenGnostic began pestering TurntechGodhead

GG: dave! Are you ok?

TG: what do you want!?

GG: look dave I'm sorry

TG: no no I'm sorry, I'm sorry i could trust you! You throw this huge ass motherfuckin fit about a single fucking text that wasn't even my fault then you go ahead and start kissing other guys!

GG: karkat kissed MEE! He was all sad about Nepeta and i was trying to comfort him,

TG: by kissing him? Wow nice comfort strategy you... Fucking whore

GG: EXCUSE ME!? What did you call me!!?

TG: MOTHERFUCKIN WHOOORREEE

GG: don't use that language with me!!

TG: fine i didn't wanna talk anyway

GG: fine BYE!

(Jade's POV)
You just got out of a very emotional and infuriating conversation with Dave, you feel bad about what happened but your bot gonna take that kind of name calling.

You try to stick around for a few more minutes but you just run home crying. You can't just sit there without breaking into tears. You are honestly very very upset and you hate arguing with Dave.
