Year 851: The Midst of the Marley Mid-East War

The Invasion Mission

Victories, regardless of the size, were always celebrated by the Eldians sent into battle by Marley. Another day of life, another slice of bread and another moment closer to being with the ones you love.

It was a notion that Porco Galliard was rather... unfamiliar with as he made his way to the front lines.

His comrades, Reiner, Pieck, Zeke and (Y/n) had all been sent to the front lines when the war started, leaving Porco behind to gain better control of his Titan. It had been a difficult task for the new shifter. He was unable to control the form of his Titan during his first transformation and ended up killing a few of his fellow soldiers.

In his grief and embarrassment, the higher ups had said, "at least they were all Eldians," in a pathetic attempt to cheer the boy up. Though, in retrospect, it was likely a warning for him to try and gain control quickly or he may have just ended up being another Eldian.

Regardless of what happened, Porco was finally here.

His first mission had been to take out the smaller guard towers that had begun popping up. A simple mission that hadn't needed the help of all the other Titan Shifters. If performed quickly it would only take about three weeks.

Luckily for Porco and the other Eldians, the Crystal Titan Shifter had been sent alongside them.

(Y/n) had proven to be one of the more effective shifters both in and out of her Titan form. Porco suspected that the only reason why he had been added to this mission was because he needed some in battle experience before he was ready for the frontline.

Afterall, Marley didn't want to lose an asset they had already put years of money and training into.

With the help of (Y/n)'s and Porco's Titans, they had finished the little mission in just under two weeks. It was what had warranted such a loud cheer from the foot soldiers when they had taken over the last outpost with minimal casualties from their side.

"Ah! Galliard! Why don't you have a drink with us?!" A brown haired soldier exclaimed. Porco pulled away from the over excited soldier who must have been around the same age as him, if not a few years his senior. His uniform was unbuttoned and shriveled, not to mention that his breath smelled like alcohol.

"We have to start heading back to headquarters tomorrow." Porco sighed, "and besides, I think that you've already had too much to drink."

"Whaaat!" Exclaimed the soldier, "come on, Cap! Don't be such a stick in the mud!"

"Don't you think it's time to head to bed?"

"Of course not! The party's just started!" Slurred the soldier.

Porco rolled his eyes at the soldier's carefree attitude, "that's great. Do you happen to know where (Y/n) is?"

"You know, you're pretty close to her," the soldier raised his eyebrows suggestively, "huh!"

A flush crept up Porco's face as he attempted to feign ignorance, "all the Warriors are close to one another. We grew up in the program and-"

"So you're not that," the soldier made extravagant hand gestures before smirking, "close?"

"What? No I-"
