Amarsri and Srinav enjoyed kheer along with Ashok-sundari, when Rambha and Menka came towards them. The Hariharsuta introduced Ashok-sundari to them, and the Apsaras were in awe seeing her.
"Waise Sakhiyo, iss samaye toh tum Swarglok mei hoti ho. Yaha kaise aana huya ?" Amarsri asked.
"Devraj Indra ko aaj kal kisi aur apsara ka nritya pasand aane laga hai." Rambha said.
"Kaun ? Urvashi ?" Srinav asked.
"Ha prabhu. Jabse woh aayi hai, usne sabhi devtao ka man har liya hai." Menka said.
"Kintu thik hai, ab humare paas kuch samaye toh hai Amarsri ke saath vyatit karne ka." Rambha said.
"Uchit kaha." Menka said.
"Tum dono ka jab man kare, tum tab yaha aa sakti ho." Amarsri said.
"Yeh Urvashi kaun hai ?" Ashok-sundari asked.
"Kumari, yeh ek lambi kahani hai." Rambha said.
"Toh sunaiye na." She requested.
"Ha, awashya." Menka said.
"Ek baar Devraj Indra Swarglok ka anand utha rahe the....." Rambha started narrating the tale.

Indradev was sitting on the throne of Swarg, enjoying the luxuries he has gotten back after the death of Hiranyaksh.
Suddenly his entire throne started shaking, with his divya-drishti he looked down at earth and saw two young twin sages performing penance at the mountains of Badrinath.
'Inke tapasya se mera singhasan hil raha hai..... Kahi inhe Indrasan ki toh laalsa nahi ?' Indra thought.
He quickly summoned Rambha, Menka and other beautiful Apsaras. Indra told them to break the tapasya of these sages by offering them material luxuries so they deviate from their meditation.
Obeying his orders the Apsaras along with Gandharvas went down to Badrinath. They started dancing and playing music but the young sages still kept their eyes closed.
Looking at their youthful body which radiated divine energy, Rambha knew that they were eternal sages Nar and Narayan, incarnations of Bhagwaan Vishnu and they wouldn't open their eyes just like that.
Thus she summoned two flowers and offered it on their feet. At that both the sages opened their eyes and looked at her. They had a divine smile on their faces.

"Pranaam rishivar." She bowed.
"Kalyanamstu !" Both the sages blessed.
"Rishivar, Devraj Indra aapki tapasya se prasann hai. Iss liye unhone hume yaha aapko swarg ka sukh dene hetu bheja hai." Rambha said.
"Hey baalike, yeh Devraj se kisne kaha ki hume swarg ke nashwar sukh ki iccha hai ?" Nar asked.
"Jaa ke Devraj se kehdo, hume isme koi ruchi nahi hai. Hume lokik sukh ki koi kaamna nahi hai." Narayan said.
"Bina kisi kaamna ke koi bhi tapasya nahi karta Munivar. Aur swarg ka sukh toh sarvoch hai." Menka said.
"Baalike, jaise Indra ke path par sadev ek Indra hi nahi rehte waise hi swarg ke sukh bhi sadev nahi rehte. Woh toh kshanik hai." Nar said.
"Bhagwaan Shiv ki aardhana ke karan hum jis anand mei yaha baithe huye hai, woh swarg ke sukh se pare hai." Narayan said.
"Hum sab yaha aapka manoranjan karne aaye hai Tapodhan. Humara nritya dekhne ka saubhagya hi anand ki pariseema hai." Rambha said.
"Humare madhur swar ke gaan teeno Loko ke sukh se pare hai." Menka said.
"Tumhe toh apne roop aur Saundarya par ghamand ho raha hai." Nar said.
"Tum sabhi apne roop aur guno par swayam mohit ho rahi ho." Narayan said.
