45. Wakanda

1 hour later

Matteo was in Wanda's room with Wanda. They where both snuggled up on the bed just being in each other's embrace. Matteo had his head laying on Wanda's chest while Wanda just rubbed Matteo's back and soothed him. They could have been watching sitcoms but all Matteo wanted was his sister. After mainly 2 years away and "dead" he just wanted to be with his sister and nothing else.

"(Bubba)" Wanda called out to Matteo as she looked down at the small 10 year old. Matteo was staring at the wall and looked really deep in his own thoughts. "Matteo" Wanda called out again. Matteo didn't budge, he then started to tear up which this soon made Wanda worried. Wanda sat up and held Matteo close to her "Matteo. Hey. Bubba." Wanda shook matteo out of his thoughts. Matteo snapped out of his deep thoughts and looked at Wanda who looked really worried. "H-Hm?.." Matteo hummed out. "You ok?" She asked as she soon wiped Matteo's tears away with her thumb.

Matteo looked at her worried green eyes before he soon looked away quickly by hiding his face in her shoulder. "Matteo. What's wrong? Hm?" Wanda asked as she rubbed his back. "W-why d-did you let me k-keep calling you m-mama Wanda?.." Matteo asked as he kept his face hidden. Wanda did a little sigh before she pulled Matteo off from her and made him look at her. "Honestly i thought it was because of how Pietro would always mess around and call me "mama" then again since I did acted like her..but..after everything that happened..I just didn't have the heart to tell you to stop calling me that..after mama and papa died..you never really got to have them in your life..you where so young.." Wanda said sadly.

Matteo just had tears in his eyes, he then looked down at his hands before he looked back at Wanda. "I only r-remember mamas eyes..I don't remember anything else..I can't even remember papa..all I ever remember is the bomb..and j-just u-us.." Matteo said sadly. "I-I'm a bad s-son.." Matteo said before he put his hands up to his face. "Oh Bubba.." Wanda said sadly as she soon hugged her brother close to her. "Your not a bad son..you never where.. don't work yourself up.." Wanda said in a shushed tone. "You know..you have mamas eyes too. You have papas laugh.. you even have Pietros smirk. But most of all.. your my brother.. your my baby guppy. Your not a bad son nor bad brother.." Wanda said as she made Matteo look at her again.

Matteo looked at her with a little smile. "Now. Before we get interrupted. How about we watch our sitcoms." Wanda said with a smile. Matteo nodded at her "like we promised?" Matteo asked before he soon turned his attention to the tv. "Yes. Just like we promised guppy." Wanda said as she soon turned the tv on which had a sitcom already on screen. Matteo smiled before he sat next to her and watched the sitcom. Wanda looked down at Matteo and she soon seen that same little sparkle in his eyes. Wanda smiled before she looked at the tv, she was reminded of the small happy moments back in Sokovia with the 5 of them. As she was stuck in her little memory she felt Matteo's head lean against her, she was a bit startled by him but she soon did a happy sigh. Matteo felt as if this was a fever dream, but he knew that this was really happening and that he finally got to watch sitcoms with his sister again, just like they did when they where back home.

1 hour later

As Matteo and Wanda where watching a 3rd episode to The Van Dyke Show they where interrupted by Steve. Steve walked into the room and seen them having a small family time. "Hey. We have to head out now." He stated. Matteo jumped at his sudden voice which made him tremble and hug Wanda. Wanda looked back at Steve "ok. We'll be down." She said before she soon looked down at Matteo. Steve nodded at the both of them before he left the room to go gather up with the others.

As Wanda watched Steve leave she looked down at her brother. "Matteo. It's ok. It's only Steve." Wanda reassured him. "I don't wanna leave..we finally got h-home.." Matteo said sadly before he looked down at his hands. Wanda did a little sigh "Bubba. We need to go.. we have to fight and keep Vision safe. Then when we are all done we can come back and finish our sitcoms.. along with Vision." Wanda said as she kissed the top of Matteo's head. Matteo let out a small sigh before he looked at the tv "okay.." he said sadly. Wanda smiled sadly at him before she turned the tv off and picked Matteo up. "I promise we will come home again and be safe and sound." She said. Matteo just let out a huff before he laid his head against Wanda's shoulder. Wanda just smiled at him before she left the room with Matteo in her grasp.
