No one wants the broken doll, the one who's missing pieces and is worn down and chipping. No one should want that messed up doll, with so many pieces that are long gone, lost forever. That doll is just a burden, an extra weight to carry. The doll with the heart forever locked in a cage, with a hollow body and dead eyes. No one should ever want a doll that is beyond fixing, that would rather fall asleep and never wake again. That doll is replaceable with so many better ones. People will try to love this hopeless doll, but they'll fail. It's simply too difficult to love a doll that is falling apart and fading away.
