Yuki and Makoto examined the note carefully.
'To whomever reads this,
I am scared for my life. I'm sorry for being an ass to those girls. But if you see this, I might be dead.
I don't know where or how. But Regina is after me! She's crazy! She's even saying she'll finish off the Precure! I mean, isn't she dating Mana?
Whatever.
I'm too scared for what's coming.
Oh sh-'
After reading the note, both Yuki and Makoto glanced to each other, horrified expressions on their faces.
They had stumbled upon none other than Kenji's final message. Seeing that there was a splatter of dried blood in the corner, he must not have got very far.
The door opened revealing Cure Rosetta and Cure Diamond. They wore intense expressions, as if ready for a fight.
"Rosetta, Diamond. What are you doing here?" Makoto asked, quickly transforming into her Cure Sword form.
Cure Rosetta and Cure Diamond shook their heads. There was no time to explain.
The sound of what seemed to be an explosion resonated throughout the building.
"Yuki, you stay here. You got that? But if you feel like you aren't safe for whatever reason, run out of the building." Said Diamond as she stood straight before running out of the room with her two comrades.
Yuki looked around the room, and decided it was best to leave the school grounds. The second the Precure left, she got an uneasy feeling which only intensified as the seconds went by.
As for the Precure, they quickly made their way to the battlefield, which happened to take place in the gymnasium. Cure Ace was alone, fighting what looked to be her older sister, Regina.
The other three quickly joined the battle, as Ace was quickly losing.
However the arrival of the other three meant the tables could be turned, and Regina could be stopped.
During the battle, all of the girls began to wonder one thing.
Each of them leapt back and looked at one another.
"Where's Cure Heart?!" They all shouted to one another, having finally realised their absentee leader.
Regina cackled sinisterly while flashing a toothy grin. She spun her Miracle Dragon Glaive, now stained with a purple aura, around herself, before coming to a sudden stop.
"Diamond! Use your Diamond Shower!" Ace yelled before turning to Cure Sword, "Sword, use Sparkle Sword! But be unpredictable!"
Ace only nodded to Rosetta. She was their defence.
She knew what to do.
And so each Cure set off, launching their strategy.
Ace closed the distance between her older sibling, and was now in a tussle in an attempt to at the very least disarm the villain.
Diamond and Sword ran around the two combatants, waiting for a chance to strike.
They had to be unpredictable.
They couldn't let Regina get away with this.
They both silently agreed that Diamond should be the first to attack.
However it occurred to Diamond that not only was Regina barely paying attention to Ace, she was focussed on them. She was ready for any attack.
So, using her wits and her cunning, she thought of a counter-strategy.
She used Diamond Shower then and there. As expected, Regina moved back.
What Regina didn't expect was the sudden second and third waves of Diamond Shower, as well as a shot from her Love Heart Arrow.
She barely had time to counter this, and was subsequently struck with each attack.
Sword caught onto the new strategy and used her attacks as well. All of this did a great deal of damage to the blonde.

FanfictionFollowing the events of Doki Doki Precure, Regina and her father now live with Mana and her family. As for Aguri, she still lives with her grandmother. New threats also arise from the ashes of old ones, and only the Precure can stop them.
