It had been quiet for the almost an entire week.
Angel found it strange, the stark difference from being told that her every move was going to be followed to hearing absolutely nothing from the men whose company she both loathed and enjoyed was a weird thing to adjust to.
She had been able to return to her apartment two days after everything went down, exactly like Awsten had promised her she would be able to.
The locks that Otto had installed on her apartment looked very out of place in her shitty complex in comparison to the stand dead bolts that everyone else had, she was thankful for the extra layer of security she had been given.
But she definitely could of done without the camera at her front door that recording anyone and everyone who came in or out of her place.
Work had been slower than usual, the winter months always proved to be difficult when it came to selling her art right up until the holidays just due to the fact that everyone was saving for Christmas.
She knew that she would be fine once December rolled around, she just had to get through until then.
It was Wednesday night meaning she had her beginner class at the studio, Angel always planned ahead for the things that they would be working on and this week was landscapes.
For the most part she just walked around, helping where she could and when she was needed but letting them take the reigns because practice was the best way to learn.
"Um Angel-" an older woman named Nancy called out to her cautiously as she glanced out the window nervously.
Angel smiled going up to her, looking at her canvas. "Oh this looks fantastic, did you need help with anything?"
Nancy shook her head still looking outside.
"No, I just noticed that car has been out there since before the class even started and I don't know if it's just parked or there is someone in there and I thought that you should know." Nancy told her.
Angel popped her head up to glance in the direction that she was looking, and sure enough there was a black car sitting directly across from the studio with the windows just dark enough that you couldn't see inside.
An uneasy feeling settled over her, as the hair stood up on the back of her neck.
"I'm sure it's nothing, you know there's so many shops on this strip and no one in this city knows how to park. I'll be sure to keep an eye out though, thank you for telling me." Angel assured her as confidently as she possibly could.
She was barely attentive for the rest of the class, keeping one eye outside and the other on her students that were sitting around her.
In that moment she silently cursed herself for not getting any of the guys phone numbers.
She wouldn't of called any of them to come and check it out because she would never want to bother them, but a reassuring word from someone in this moment would of been enough for her to not feel like she was being watched.
The only thing that was making her feel better in this moment was the fact that her car was parked in the back of the studio, meaning she would be able to avoid whatever was happening in the front all together now that she was leaving.
