Angel was freaking out, nothing was going the way that it was supposed to while she was getting ready.
Her hair wasn't curling right, and it was framing her face in ways that didn't flatter her whatsoever. No matter how many ways she twisted and pulled it, it was still laying funny.
She groaned, as she searched through the drawers in her bathroom for any clip that she could find to pin back the pieces smoothly them out with light hairspray.
Her makeup looked shaky if you looked at her too up close, she hoped that by putting on a solid red lipstick it would distract from the fact that her eyeliner was bumpy from start to finish.
She knew that tonight wasn't about looking good, she almost feared that if she did look good more people would glance in her direction and she would have to keep up the charade and that terrified her.
The only part of all of this that made her feel better was her dress, she almost dropped dead in the shop after she heard the total knowing that she would be paying for it with her own card.
But she couldn't deny the fact that it looked like it was made for her, she was less than thrilled about the heels that she had on her feet at the moment but she was already told that her docs were not a suitable option to wear unfortunately.
Awsten was going to be there any moment, she didn't know what car she was supposed to be looking out for since he told her that he was going to be in a different car than he normally drove.
She made the decision to wait outside of her apartment for him, it was a surprisingly cold night and goose bumps rose on her arms as soon as she stepped outside.
Her feet were already aching as she shifted her weight back and forth trying to get used to the feeling.
A shiny blue lexus pulled up in front of her, the windows were dark and she felt a cold chill run down her spine until she watched a familiar head of purple hair step out of the drivers side.
"Why the fuck are you standing out here alone?" he asked harshly, opening her door for her.
Angel stood there speechless for a moment, he looked incredible to say the least.
He was wearing a fitted black suit, with a black button down underneath to match and a necklace of toe tokens like he always wore but this time all red. She wouldn't admit it but she kind of liked that the red matched her lipstick.
She bent down slightly, trying to gather the extra fabric of her dress so that she could get into the car.
"I got it." he said, coming around back of her gathering the tulle up in his hands just high enough so that her feet and ankles were exposed and she was able to move a little easier.
"Thank you." she mumbled, easily slipping in the car as he closed the door behind her.
The inside of the car was outrageously nice, she was almost afraid to breathe in there out of fear of messing it up or breaking it in anyway. "You didn't answer my question." he pointed out as he got back in the drivers seat. "Why were you standing outside by yourself I would of gone up to your apartment to get you."
She looked over at him confused, narrowing her eyebrows slightly.
"I didn't think it was a big deal? I didn't want you to have to walk all the way up when I could of just met you outside."
