TW: conversations of past trauma, abuse,

Angel somehow found herself in the art supply store.

It wasn't often that she had any extra money to spend for herself, any profit that was made from the studio typically went right back into it to pay for the things that she needed for her classes.

In some way she didn't even remember ending up here, it was like when she left the bank she was on auto pilot after her conversation with Awsten on the phone and the next thing she knew she was here.

She had a plan in mind, but couldn't tell if it was a dumb one or not. Sitting in her cart was a handful of new things, two sets of pain brushes, two different assortments of paints, and double the amount of canvas's she would normally buy just for herself.

Angel knew that Otto was going to be at the club early, she had called him when she first got to the store to see where he was and he had assured her that the guys that were already there were just tying up some loose ends.

Nothing gruesome or illegal which she made sure to double check, the last thing she wanted was to walk into trouble all over again.

She wanted to bring all of this to the club with her, and sit down with Otto giving him the chance to learn to paint just like he had always wanted to. She just hoped that he would be up for it.

Every part of her still felt guilty for using the card that was left for her, well for Samantha but it was easier to justify this because it wasn't for her.

She wasn't doing any of this for herself, she was doing it for Otto.

After the conversation they had in her apartment the other day, all she wanted to do was protect Otto however she could. Help him in anyway she could, in the back of her mind she knew that he was the last person that needed to be protected he was more than capable of protecting himself.

But she wondered if it was as easy for him to protect himself emotionally, as it was physically.

Her total came out to be much more than she ever would of spent on a normal day, and she made a mental note to herself to add that to the total that she had to pay back to Awsten including what she spent on groceries, she didn't actually think that he was going to take that money but would get it to him one way or another.

As soon as she was in the car with all of her purchases loaded into the back seat, she called Otto again. It took 4 different calls for him to answer the first time, so she didn't have high hopes that he would answer quickly this time but was pleasantly surprised when she heard his sing song voice through her speakers.

"Yello this is Otto Wood's phone, Otto Wood speaking." he called out happily earning a genuine laugh from Angel.

She shook her head as she came to a stop at a red light, "Has anyone else ever answered your phone for you before? How did that greeting come about?" she asked curiously, drumming her fingertips against her steering wheel lightly.

"One time when I was ki-" he started quickly before being cut off by Angel abruptly.

"Wow okay I simply do not want to hear the rest of it, the phone greeting is good without a back story I think. Are you still at the club?" she asked him, letting out a nervous laugh.
