There was an uneasy feeling that settled over Angel the moment the rest of the men sat down at their table around them.

It was obvious that all eyes were on her and she was immediately regretting picking the dress that she had on, sure it wasn't overly revealing but she still could feel vision being burned into her neck and collarbones.

Her grip tightened on Awsten's thigh as soon Richard spoke up in her direction. "Shocked to see that he actually let you out of his sight for a night darling, I mean with how long you've been together and how we only recently learned who you are it's very obvious that's he's a little controlling don't you think?"

His tone was the farthest thing from friendly, sarcasm dripped off of his tongue and the way that he uttered the word darling made her want to crawl into her own skin.

"He's the farthest thing from controlling actually, I just don't come around the club often. Only for birthdays, and special events that are going on. That's his work, and I have my own. We keep them separate." she replied curtly.

Unfortunately neither of them had come up with a solid back story of how they met, and she had no idea how much or how little she was supposed to say and she was just hoping Awsten would lead the way with little cues.

"And what exactly is it that you do for work?" Ian asked her curiously.

At first glance she could understand how he was in charge of this whole thing, his presence was intimidating. Not the kind that could capture an entire room at the blink of an eye, but the kind that made you fear for their next step.

"I don't necessarily see how that's important." she replied with a small smile, clearing her throat.

Ian's mouth curled up in a snarl as he replied to her, "You see it is important because anyone who works with him, needs to be ran by me. Meaning I need to know, everything about you."

"Lucky for both of us, I don't work for him." she shot back, her tone sharp.

"Eat baby." Awsten said sternly, pushing her plate closer to her.

If Angel had any common sense in this situation she would of picked up on the fact that this was an attempt to get her to stop talking, but unfortunately there was no common sense in her head.

"I'm not really hun-" she challenged before she was cut off by him once more, his tone even more stern this time.

"I said, eat." he repeated himself.

Ian chuckled, taking a long sip of the drink that was sitting in front of him. "Oh so she does know how to listen. I was starting to think that that mouth of hers was only good for talking back."

Awsten's posture stiffened next to Angel, "Don't start with her."

The men surrounding them laughed again, waving Awsten off only causing the anger within him to grow stronger and stronger by the minute.

"Oh c'mon now Kyle, we're just having a bit of fun. You can't seriously expect to bring a woman as beautiful as her here without a little bit of teasing can you? By the way, it's nice of you to finally let us in on your name. You would think it would be cooler than that with the way you've  been keeping it a secret for years but I digress." Ian said with a sadistic smile on his face.
