The walk back into the house was quiet, Angel hated the quiet. For as long as she could remember, there was nothing more that scared her than the stillness of silence.

If she was alone in her apartment, she always had to have some sort of music playing on her record player or a movie on the background.

In some way she thought that it helped her move her focus away from the things that lingered in her mind. In other ways there was a good chance that she only did it so that she wouldn't have to address these problems.

Right now she found herself wishing that the overwhelming sound that had been in the grand hall earlier where they had dinner was back, Awsten's hand was the only thing grounding her as she became far too aware of her surroundings once more.

She let out a small breath of relief as she saw Otto and Geoff standing in front of the large door that lead down to where the fight was going to be.

"Where were the both of you?" Otto asked harshly, catching Angel off guard with the tone of his voice. She swallowed thickly as she looked down at the ground, still holding Awsten's hand.

"Why is your lipstick all smudged?" Geoff asked slowly, looking back and forth between the both of them. "And why the fuck is her lipstick all over your face? You both look like a mess, go to the bathroom and clean yourselves both up. We will see you down there."

Angel felt embarrassed, she hadn't had enough time to process exactly what had happened out in the courtyard with Awsten and for Geoff of all people to call them out so easily had her cheeks the same color as her lipstick.

As Awsten dragged her behind him off to the bathroom, she felt a new feeling replace the embarrassment. It resembled something of anger, and she wasn't exactly sure where it was coming from.

"You could of fucking told me that your lipstick was going to smudge absolutely every where, did you really have to wear red? Of all colors?" Awsten mumbled under his breath.

"Oh my bad I didn't fucking think that you were going to make out with me today, next time you shove your tongue down my throat and choke me I'll make sure that I am wearing a more neutral color. Does that work for you?" she hissed back in his direction, ripping her hand out of his angrily.

Once they were both securely in the bathroom Awsten closed the door behind him, his nostrils flaring in anger. "I am trying to protect you and you are throwing a fit like a toddler. Care to explain that?" he taunted, taking a step closer to her.

In a spilt moment, Angel grabbed the knife off of her thigh pushing him against the closed door with the knife resting lightly on his neck. "You don't get to sit here and tell me that I'm acting like a fucking child after the stunt that you just pulled, you don't want to play this game with me."

Awsten looked back and forth between her eyes, noticing that they were watering slightly as her chest heaved with uneven breaths.

"You just sliced your thigh when you grabbed that didn't you?" he asked dryly, not even phased by the fact that he was standing in this position with her. "I'm going to need to take a look it if you cut yourself."

He wasn't afraid of her, he was almost impressed by the fact that she was able to pull the knife out fast enough to catch him the slightest bit off guard.
