Angel was being stubborn, she didn't want to have to go shopping for this event that she was forced to attend with Awsten.

She didn't want to have to pretend like she was dating him.

She didn't want to have to come up with a stupid name to call him.

She didn't want to deal with any of it.

The unfortunate reality was the fact that there was nothing that she could wear in her closet, he had been so kind to let her know with less than 24 hours to spare that it was a black tie event.

No part of her knew where to start when it came to finding something to wear, she knew that she needed to call Jules to ask for help.

But the thought of lying to her about what she needed that dress for was weighing heavily on her mind, she still felt guilty for lying when she was originally trying to figure out the club.

She had no idea how she was going to be able to keep everything that was going on with her now to herself.

Angel was laying on top of a pile of clothes that she had taken out of her closet hoping that for whatever reason there would be a ball gown buried in the very back somewhere, she knew there wouldn't be but a girl could dream.

"Hey siri." she called out frustrated and unaware of where her phone was at the moment, hoping that it would pick up on the sound of her voice. "Call Jules."

"Calling Jules Love Of My Life." her phone replied back to her, as it started to ring over the speaker that was previously playing music.

She laughed softly at the sound of her contact being repeated, not even bothering to move from the spot she was laying in.

"Julessss I need help." Angel complained not even letting her get a hello in.

Jules chucked from the other end of the phone, "Hello to you too Miss. Dramatic, what's wrong?"

She groaned in response throwing her hands up, even those Jules couldn't see her. "I have to get a dress for a stupid black tie event, and shockingly I don't own a ballgown or anything that resembles a dress that would be acceptable to wear. Will you go shopping with me like now?"

Jules paused for a minute, taking in the information that she was just given.
"A black tie event?" she repeated confused.

"Yes it's because of my art that I did for the club, I got invited to this event and I think it'll be good for further career opportunities so I really shouldn't turn it down but I don't know what to wear at all." she told Jules.

She felt bad lying, it made her skin crawl and let her stomach twisting in ways that might not ever come untwisted. It wasn't a full lie, she did have to go to this event due to something that happened at Friendly Reminder but she didn't exactly think there was an easy way to say. "Hey I actually got myself twisted up in the mafia that's not really the mafia and now I have to go to an event where people illegally fight for money and maybe even die just for funsies of the rich assholes in our city."

"I just got out of my practice case a little while ago, I'm still dressed for court so is it okay if I stop by my house to get changed and then I'll swing by and pick you up so we can go shopping? I think there's a little shop downtown, but it's definitely not cheap." Jules said hesitantly.
