Chapter 15: Ready or Not

"..I was so worried!" He lets go of my face and hugs me tightly.

I hug him back, puzzled.

"What do you mean? What happened?"

"You seemed so nervous! Then you turned pale so quick and fainted! When did you start fainting? You've never had problems with that before, what are they giving you? I don't want you to take it anymore--"

His voice fades off in the distance. I am no longer paying attention.

I look at my clock. Midnight. Everything is so.. peaceful.

The noise in my head seems to have drifted off. I enjoyed this.

I turn to face Dylan "hey, calm down, I'm fine. It's just some pill, I have a theory that it's just melatonin because it seems to knock me out more than help my psychological problems."

"Do you still talk to fag-bag?"

I laugh. He's always hated Keith.

"No, of course not. I'm not stupid, Dylan.

"Okay, good."

He was eyeing my scars.

Ugh, Dylan. He's so protective of me.<3

"Well, I'm gonna change into my jammies."

"Do you want my to wake Mati up to go with you? I mean you could faint again and we wouldn't be able to get to you--"

I put my finger over his lips. "Shhh, it'll take 2 seconds"

"Yea, the same amount of time it took you to pass out in front of us"

I roll my eyes and quickly change, as I walk into the room, Mati is awake and asking Dylan questions.

"There she is, ask her yourself"

"Alice!"

Getting pounced on is starting to hurt now.

"Hey Matilda, sorry for the scare. I guess I didn't get enough to eat today"

"We brought snacks!" Dylan's fat ass. Always eating and bringing food wherever he goes.

Matilda looks at me, troubled.

"Come sit by me and tell me how you're really doing."

I sigh and sit next to the both of them on the bed.

The only thing running through my mind now is if I should tell the truth or lie.

Best friends never lie.

Truth it is.
