Matilda's POV

Dylan left. I don't know where to. But I'm pretty sure, by how determined he is, it's to find Alice's shrink.

Alice stirred. Her dim brown eyes scanning my face for an answer. Then they scan the room, for what I assume is, for Dylan.

"He's going to figure out why you're so pale." I mutter.

"I... mmm, I'm fine. I just have this pounding headache."

"Ally, we have to get you something to eat." She watches as I sift through the bags of food I brought.

This place is weird. I thought they'd be more hard on her. They don't even monitor who goes in or out of her room. We can literally stay here forever with her.

Which might be a possibility seeing how sick she is and her room is at the end of an extensive hall that nobody seems to go down.

Poor Alicenne. She must be so lonely here. I'm not going anywhere without a fight.

Dylan walks in. He looks defeated.

"What's the m--"

Is all I could get out before he pushes past me and over to Alice.

He holds her and she smiles weakly.

He kisses her forehead and her lips.

A flush of pink rises to her face.

Alicenne? Blushing? Ohmygod Dylan. He deserves a cookie.

They look at eachother, and he stroked her cheek.

They looked so cute. And happy.

Dylan's POV

I went out to the hallway. There seemed to be nothing. Nobody was anywhere. I looked around and in every corner. There was nobody here.

Uh insane asylum field trip? The actual fuck.

ALICE IS DYING. WHERE THE FUCK ARE THESE PEOPLE WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HELPING HER?!

I give up and head back up to her room. As soon as I walk in, Matilda tries asking me something, but my eyes land on Alice and my feet carry me to her. I scoop her up and hold her like this would be the last time I'd ever have the chance.

I kiss her, and she lights up with color. She's so beautiful.

The gold in her eyes has become more prominent. The brown has faded. She looks.. stunning.

I mean her eyes. Matilda pushes us back to reality when she brings Alice a sandwich.

Alice refuses.

Oh no you don't. She's beaten ana before, she can beat it now. Even at her weakest.

I look her in the eyes, "you're stronger than this Ally."

Her eyes well up. I can see flashes of remembrance in her eyes and tears sting at the corner of mine.

"Please.." I say.

She grabs the sandwich and looks back and forth between Mati and I.

We urge her on with smiles.

She takes a bite.
