I stare at Dylan.

He was already staring at me.

I try to read his eyes but they're not giving off anything.

My first instinct is to hide my face.

He walks up to me and moves my hand off my face, kisses it and walks out of the room.

What?

The air is still. Matilda was the first to break the silence with a giggle.

"He's a charmer" she turns to me "why don't I go bring him back, then leave to get some more clothes and food. It'll take 10 minutes."

"Sure. Be safe." was all I could say.

I was in shock.

I don't exactly know why.

I felt butterflies.

I'm gonna be alone with Dylan.

Shit.

I plop on the bed, silently cursing these feelings.

I open my eyes, but it's still black.

Again? Honestly?

I descend for some time until I am in the Hatter's domain.

This insufferable being.

I saunter up the cards and meet his gaze.

"ah Alice. How've ya been, dear?"

Has he been watching me?

"Good as good gets, you?"

"I'm mad as usual, thanks"

This guy.

A bunch of things were running through my mind but I knew I didn't have enough time so I asked the question that burned the most.

"Can you tell me why I'm here?"

"You know why you're here, Alice. You just choose to stay foolish."

Foolish?

"Excuse me?" I exclaim. Who is he calling "foolish"?

"Oh dear, have I offended you? My sincerest apologies Alice, but there is no other way around it"

He's been cleaning the same spot on the elongated table since I came here.

What's up with him? Must be mad.

Or bored.

I pace around, agitated.

I hit a snag in the extravagant rug and I'm falling.

Consciousness has come to rescue me.
