Dylan's POV

Alice's body went limp.

I am the physical manifestation of helplessness.

I shrank back into the wall and sat with her in my arms.

I stroked her face and watched as the color dimmed from her skin.

As I turn the shower off and pull Alice out of the shower, an idea pops into my head.

I pull a dress over Alice's inanimate figure and grab my cell phone to dial the number.

Alice's POV

I just-- I was-- I give up.

I looked around me. I got a burst of happiness and smiled brightly at everything I saw.

Cheshire was grinning at me.

"You seem chipper, dear girl."

"I'm in love, cat."

"I see. The Queen wouldn't like that very much."

"The Queen? I don't answer to a queen."

"She rules this madness in you."

"She has no authority."

"She does. You gave it up to her when you damaged yourself so greatly."

"I want it back."

"Take it."

I gaze down at my feet.

"How?"

"Destroy what destroys you, Alice."

His smile remained only for a few seconds.

I must destroy her.

I need to tell Dylan.

And with his name, I am resuscitated into the light.

Mati's POV

I rushed over to Dylan's house as fast as I could.

I rummaged every pharmacy I saw.

Everything in there was used on Alice.

I don't know what Dyl has in store. But I'll trust him.

I opened the door and locked it.

I run up the stairs and meet him.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Alice is waking up."

Her eyes open and quickly find Dylan.

She sits upright. Looking confused.

"Dylan? Matilda?.. How long have I been out?"

I look towards Dylan.

He runs a hand through his hair.

"About 45 minutes." He says with a shaky voice.

Alice looks up at both of us with an exuberant face.

"I found out how to kill it."

"Kill what?" Dylan looks animated now.

"The madness. Apparently my depression and self hate manifested itself as some queen in the deepest depths of my mind. Disturbing, right?"

My gaze shifts from Dylan to Alice.

Dylan looks incredulously at me.

I nod. Alice looks between the both of us and sighs miserably.

"You don't believe me.." She gets up and walks out of the room.

I roll my eyes. "Come on, Dylan. We need anything we can get. Maybe if she kills the thing that she believes is the demonstration of what's killing her, she will get better. We need to be open minded."

He blinks at me.

"She's the one who goes into Wonderland. Not us. We have to trust her."

He nods.

Then leaves the room to find Alice.

Alice's POV

As I'm walking out of the room, my eyes well up with tears.

He doesn't believe me.

Maybe if I let this kill me, he'll believe.

No.

I couldn't do that to him.

I will murder this Queen.
