As I am rubbing my eyes, I realize I am being held.

I don't know how long I've been in the real world. I don't know how much they heard.

All I can manage to say is "why is this happening to me?"

All at once, they're plaguing me with questions about what happened, what I mean and how I can fix it.

"I don't know. I'm not in Wonderland long enough to even have a conversation with anyone but Cheshire."

"Your cat?" Matilda asks.

Oh crap. My cat at home is named Cheshire. What the hell did my younger self do? What am I doing now?

"Not exactly. Chesh is a british bombay. This Cheshire is..skeletal."

Dylan rises and goes to the drawings on the walls

"Alice, when did you draw these?"

"I honestly don't remember doing any of them."

"Maybe when you fall asleep, your mind draws what you see."

"When I'm asleep? Now you're making me feel insane, Dylan."

"No" he looks at me slightly frustrated "when you faint and fall at random"

Fall.

I giggle. "Yea it's alot like falling."

They both look up at me with quizzical expressions.

I sigh "okay, it's like when I'm talking or walking or doing anything. I look up, and everything is covered in darkness. It's like I'm nowhere, I reach out and feel nothing but air between my fingers. Then I'm being transformed into a beautiful human, someone I've always wanted to be. Then I'm in Wonderland, but it's demented and twisted now."

They're horrified. I think I like it.

Keep going.

"I get hallucinations. These nasty creatures. Insane children, eyeless dolls. They tell me things in riddles. I don't understand, then my head hurts, like my psyche is getting worse everyday and I'm melting into an insane shell of myself. It sucks."

Matilda gives a nervous laugh. "Sucks?! That's all you can say? After you tell us these frightful encounters?"

Dylan looks like he's in pain.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"I don't want you to go through this."

Then everything flashed back.

I love you.
