Ch. 9
I walked to the bus stop. I got there 5 minutes early. I took out my phone and went on Instagram. The first photo that popped up was Celia's. Brian was in the photo. They were at her house and they were kissing. "They've only been dating for...what A DAY!" I thought to myself. I went to her profile and clicked unfollow. I was so pissed. Moments later Noah walked up.

"Hey" I said "I didn't know you live in this neighborhood."

"Yeah. You either." He said. "Wanna hang out later, like after school."

"Sure!" I said with a huge smile.
The bus pulled up and Noah and I got on. We sat next to each other in the back. Away from Celia and Brian.

"You okay?" Noah asked looking me in the eye.

"Who me? Yeah. Of course." I answered. I took my phone out and went on Twitter. I saw a notification popped up. I pressed it and looked at it. I looked up and all eyes were on me.

The tweet said:

Shailey Cooper: worst person ever.

I looked whose page it was on. It was on Brian's!!!!! My mind was blown. I couldn't believe it. (But it wasn't the worst thins anyone has ever said about me.) Yesterday he asked me out, and now he's doing this. Noah leaned over my shoulder to see what I was doing. Everyone was still looking at me. He said:

"What's up? Why's everyone staring."

I gave him my phone.

"How could someone say this about you!!??" He said with rage in his tone and on his face. "This is so untrue. You're the nicest, prettiest, funniest girl, no no PERSON I've ever met."

I smiled really big, giggled and looked at the ground. He handed me my phone.

"Thanks." I said quietly. "You're not too bad yourself."

"Shailey, I just wanted to say-"

"RIDGEWAY HIGH!!" Yelled the bus driver.

"Ugh. We'll finish this conversation later." He said sadly.
