Ch. 22
I heard my phone ring, I didn't answer it. I was throwing stuff off my dresser, out of frustration. My legs and arms still bleeding. My stomach was bleeding through my shirt.I went into the laundry room to find some bleach.
I heard someone run into my house. Shouting "Shailey!!" I sat on the dryer trying to get the cap off the bleach.
"Uhh!!" I yelled.
Noah busted into the laundry room ripping the bleach outta my hands and threw it to the floor.
"Why did you do that, Noah!!!!!I wanna die. I wanna die!!!!" I yelled with emotion and tears."I'm sorry Shailey!" Noah yelled. "I couldn't let you do that."
I still cried and cried muttering
"I wanna die, what did you do, I wanna die." Noah was cradling me in his arms as he slowly slid down to the ground. He was crying with me.The ambulance and police showed up to take me to the hospital. Noah followed them in his car. Once I was at the hospital the doctor said I should go to a support group for people who got/get cyber bullied.
"Is she going to be okay?" Noah asked looking very concerned. He was sitting in the chair next to my bed.
"She's going to be fine. Just have her drink lots of water. We bandaged up her wounds and she might have to lay down for a while." Said the doctor holding his clipboard.
"Now, If a parent could sign this, that's would be great. She'll be out of here in no time." He held out the clipboard.
"Um, that's not possible her mom is at work." Noah said.
"Well, I guess just this time, you can sign it. And how are you related to Shailey?" Asked the doctor.
"I'm her boyfriend." Said Noah with a smile.
"Oh. Well, I'm sorry then. We can only have a blood relative." Said the doctor.
"Shailey," said Noah softly. "Is you're grandma or grandpa anywhere close to here?"
"Yes. They live close." I said sitting up on my bed.
"Okay good." Said Noah motioning me back down.
"What's their number?" Asked Noah.
"(414) 752-7293" I said.
Noah repeated the number to the to the doctor and the doctor called them. My grandparents didn't know I cut or anything like that. But what the doctor and Noah didn't know was that, the number I gave them wasn't my grandparents number. The number was Celia's. I knew she didn't answer the phone unless it was someone in her contacts. So, my "grandparents" wouldn't answer."No answer." Said the doctor coming back from calling my "grandparents."
"Ugh. Imma be stuck in this hospital forever!" I said whining.
"Can't I just sign the papers doctor." Said Noah.
"I'm sorry. Blood relatives only." Said the doctor shaking his head. " She tried to commit suicide. She's not going to be the same for awhile. This is why we need a relative."
"But her mom won't even care." Said Noah.
"He's right doc." I said. "My mom hates me. She wants me to be more like my older sister. She said I was a screw up."
"So, what do you say doc? Can I sign the papers to get Shailey out of here?" Said Noah holding my hand.
"I'm sorry," said the doctor "I cannot allow it."
