I guess its a date

Ch. 19
"Ahhhhh!!!!" I yelled when we were walking down Noah's driveway.

"What?!? What is it Shailey??!!" Noah said with wide eyes.

"We're dating!!!!" I said really loud.

"What?" He said laughing. "No we're not. I didn't ask you out and you didn't ask me out."

"Yeah, I know that. But we we're holding hands and we're always hanging out and watching movies and now we're going to a restaurant. It's a date!!!!"

"Well," said Noah. "I do kinda like you Shailey, but we can be just friends, if that's kinda what you want?"

"No, it's not that. It's just that I'm depressed and suicidal. If we do become more than just friends I thought that you'd leave, just like my other friends have." I said.

"Shailey, I'd never do that to you. I care too much." He said.

"For real? You're not going to leave me?" I said.

"Never." He said smiling.

"Okay. Ill be your girlfriend." I said smiling.

"Woah, woah, woah. Let me do this properly." He said. "Shailey, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes." I said quickly with a huge smile.

"Sweet!" He said while starting the car. "Off to Applebee's, our very first date!"

"Yep." I said. I couldn't stop smiling. Now that I've found someone who's willing to give me their everything, I'm not afraid to open up anymore.

-----At the restaurant-----

"Hello. Welcome to Applebee's," said the nice waitress.

"Table for two please." Said Noah with a smile.

"Follow me." Said the waitress. "It's so nice to see young couples nowadays."
We both laughed as she led us to our table.

"My name is Kaitlyn and I will be your waitress. Can I start you out with something to drink?"

Noah said "Sure! Thanks! I will take a Mountain Dew. Shailey...?"

"Hmm...I'll take a Mountain Dew too. Thanks!"

After she came back with our drinks, we ordered our food and loved every bite of it.

When we finished we went home. We got home from Applebee's at about 1:30.

"My mom and sister are going to be home soon." I said as Noah pulled into the driveway.

"Okay. Do you want me to walk you in?" He asked.

"No, I got it." I said. "Thank you for lunch."

"No problem." He said leaning over and kissing me on the cheek.

"I might be at school tomorrow, maybe not. After the cyberbullying today, I'm not so sure." I said unbelting my seatbelt.

"I hope you come. I'll miss you if you don't." He said.

"I'm just not sure. " I said.

"Well, I hope you come. It won't be as fun without you. People are stupid." He said.

"I know. And I'll try. It depends how I feel about it. " I said getting out of the car.

"Okay, bye!" He said.

"Later!" I said.

As He drove away,
I thought: "he's the one for me."
