After that day June never assigned any work with the pets or cleaning or anything that could potentially harm April even in a small way. He put April at the cash counter and sales. Anyhow this is what she needs to learn through June.

"See, I told you that brat will not show up again stop worrying about him" April reprimanded June who called Niel's Aunt about him.

"Hmm" June gave a thoughtful look to April just when he noticed there's a little difference in the way she dressed up.

"You look different today" June blurted out involuntarily.

"What? Can't resist  my charisma? Your heart is skipping a beat?" April leaned in playfully. After all, she dressed up for the occasion.

June stopped April midway with his forefinger pushing away her head "Do you want to work with the parrot's section tomorrow?" he said in a monotone.

April puffed her cheeks "That damn evil parrot!"

June left a small smile as if he is satisfied with the result of getting back at April.

"Don't wait up for me, I'll be meeting Dew tonight" April picked up her stuff ready to leave for work.

A spark spread across April's face as soon as she finished work. She didn't even waste a second to get on a mysterious black car waiting outside the pet store.

June found it a little weird as he never saw Dew riding such a car but being one of the heirs to Parker family he can easily change cars as easy as he change clothes every day.

But June's suspicion is right, the owner of the car who invited April with a bright smile inside the car is a young woman with pouty lips and wide cheeks.

"Baby it has been so long since I saw you, after that night you disappeared like a ghost. Tell me if it's not my birthday today you won't even be here now right?" pouty lips of Maddy expressed dejection.

"Common Maddy, you know that mom drove me out of the mansion and I'm with June helping him out at the store, on top of that I promised him I won't race for now" April explained without a break.

"Hmm June is only your friend, we are just ants to you" Maddy mocked April.

"You know that's not true Maddy and you also know no one can compete with June's place in my life"

"I know, I know if he asks you to jump in the river you will" Maddy rolled her eyes.

"You're wrong, June would never ask me that, if I were to jump down the river he'll jump even before me" April smiled brightly as an old fashioned monotonous face with an awkward smile appeared in her thoughts.

Two people with opposite personalities, backgrounds and tastes, no one in April's rich circle ever understood how June and she became friends in the first place.

"Okay okay I know I should be grateful that you even lied to June to attend my birthday party, I will not demand more from you, let's go, baby, rolling mines is waiting for us!!!" Maddy cried in excitement as she stepped strongly on the accelerator.

After an hour or so ride, the scenery changed quickly from skyscrapers and narrow lanes to wide roads and a large gathering of people in flashy outfits, some of them are bought by roadside outlets and some are designed and customized in expensive boutiques. But all of them are united at the rolling mines, for one thing, an adrenaline rush from the race with time.

"Maddy! Happy birthday, dude" a tall guy with sparkling blue eyes and thousands of dollars worth of blue designer jacket swept Maddy off her feet and spun around.

Before Maddy could reply anything his feet directed towards April and his arms hugged her tightly.

"Shut up! you have quit racing?" the sparkling blue eyes of Ace expressed utter surprise.

"For the time being" shrugged April.

"Wait a minute is this your Mrs Parker's order? I don't ever remember you listening to your grandmother " said Ace.

"It's June" mouthed Maddy from the side.

Ace shook his head as he knows he is the only in this world that could pursuade April.

"That's such a shame you are visiting rolling mines after all this time and not racing, just be an audience for today," said Maddy.

"Why audience, she can be a part too" Ace proudly brushed his hands on a sexy black racing motorcycle beside him. He hopped on the motorcycle at once and raised the accelerator playfully and patted the back seat.

As April was about to get on the motorcycle suddenly a cloud of dust and maple leaves rose from the ground. A red helmet accompanied by a muscular frame appeared in front of them.

"Maddy you go with Ace" April immediately recognized who that person is and got on the backseat.

The chilly autumn wind passed past through her hair making it sway with every turn and curve the motorcycle took. In a blink of an eye, they have already overtaken Maddy and Ace and other contenders. April's arms wrapped tightly around the red leather jacket as she knew they are about to enter the dangerous course of their track.
