Dew awkwardly patted on April's shoulder before she retreated back from the hug.

"Hey, June" Dew greeted him to which June replied with a respectful head nod.

"Where is it?" April winked at Dew.

"Here" Dew handed over the credit card and a pack of a few essentials.

April squealed with happiness and kissed her credit card, "Tell uncle Tim that I love him" she made a heart symbol with her hands.

"If you want I can arrange a place for you to stay," said Dew.

June gave a questionable look. April composed her excited face and gave a look to June as if 'of course I remember my promise, I'll work in the store till you find a suitable part-timer'

she turned towards Dew,  "It is alright" April's fingers brushed over the card happily.

"Then if you need anything give me a call" Dew's looks shifted between April and June and left the place reluctantly.

After Dew's gone finally April had the chance to take a good look at the other people in the shop.

"Ah, meet Roy, he's new here and Ri, you already know her" June referred to the tall guy and the diligent-looking girl.

April shook hands with Roy as her eyes sparkled. Wow, he's so handsome! She couldn't take her eyes off Roy.

"Ahem" June cleared his voice only after then April retreated her hand.

"Work with Ri today, she'll tell you how to feed the birds," June said as he took over the counter and Roy left for the aquarium section.

"Ooo Ri, you became prettier since the last time we met, what is it? wait, you took off your glasses! you did a good thing!" April excitedly locked arms with Ri to which Ri replied with a faint smile.

Ri has been working for June for quite a while now and she knows April as June's rich troublemaker friend but not as the heir of the Parker family.

Ri started diligently explaining different kinds of feeds that need to be given to different kinds of birds. But April got bored of it quicker after listening to it for a while. She has never been the brightest student in the lot, if it's not for June's help she wouldn't even have gotten through high school.

"Wow, Roy's looks are one of a kind," April said in a smitten voice while Ri fed the parrots.

"Did you look at his eyes? Dang those wolf life hungry eyes and look at his physique it's not a joke,  he looks like he came straight of a comic book right?" April continued to talk.

"On top of that, his fashion sense is on spot, that sleek laid back hair and the ear piercings are only just cherries on the top. Look at June, from his hair to dress to even talking style he's the embodiment of an old man"

Ri didn't say anything but continued with her work.

"Ri, say something," April asked excitedly.

"I like boss's style better" Ri answered meekly and indulged in her work as if she found whatever April was talking is uninteresting.

"Pfft, you should really check your eyes, well whatever, I mean June is not that bad either, with a little makeover he might even it with Roy. Anyways tell me this, does Roy has a girlfriend?" April inquired.

"I don't know" Ri handed over the bird's feed to April and asked her to feed the birds.

"Ahhh" a sound reverberated the pet store startling some puppies.

"What happened?" June immediately rushed in almost at the same time as Roy. The wolf-like eyes showed some concern.

"That parrot has attacked me" April wailed as she showed a small red spot on her hand. But the poor parrot has startled with the way April has handled it hardly.

Roy rolled his eyes and disappeared from the scene as fast as he came. June shook his head and sighed softly. "Use these" he threw away gloves into April's hands which she caught reflexively.

Finally, she managed to clean the cage and feed that demon of a parrot. After that June didn't assign her to work with pets anymore but instead to wipe the glass doors of the store.

April started wiping the windows with great difficulty. Of course, why wouldn't she? In her life, she never even lifted a spoon let alone clean an entire store.

Suddenly her eyes lay on something outside the glass window in front of the store.

"Shut up!" her eyes glittered with shine as if she found out a national treasure.
