The drunk guy, heir of the Lawrence group, Maxi Lawrence infuriated to death after hearing Julie's words.
"You bitc...." at once he tried to attack Julie.
Before he could make a move his wrist was stopped midway and was twisted sideways as he wailed in pain. June's face flushed red. Before he beat up Maxi more, his assistant interfered saying apologies and took Maxi away before dragging matters to worse.
"June, are you okay?" Julie checked on June immediately.
June took a deep breath. All the eyes in the hall were on them at the moment. He felt suffocated.
April made her way towards June noticing his expression. "Let's get you out here first" April held June's hand and their steps fastened towards the exit doorway.
As Julie is looking at the leaving duo with a complex expression a tall figure neared her "Miss Victor, you just made enemies with many powerful people with your statements today. Will you be okay?" he said.
After all, Julie criticized nepotism in front of a bunch of people who are the very product of it. People who are the heirs of powerful company's all around the country.
"Well I'm just repaying what I've got" Julie left a little sad smile, her eyes still fixated on the now empty doorway. She looked as if she wanted to say something more but stood like a rock with a sombre appearance. It took a minute for her to really notice the presence of the person who just questioned her.
"You are..." Julie couldn't recognize the person in front of her.
"I am disappointed that you didn't reongnize me Miss Julie" he smirked slightly "I am your boss"
"Excuse me?" Julie was clueless.
The tall man none other than Ace, he laughed a little loud "I'm the youngest son of the Whitlock family, Ace Whitlock" he introduced himself.
Julie was quite surprised as she heard very less of this youngest heir of the Whitlock family despite being working for them for many years. All she knew was he manages a racing track of a Whitlock family.
"I will be alright, I am doing this for a long time" Julie excused herself from any further conversation quickly.

"Are you okay now?" April handed over the hot coffee to June.
June just spaced out thinking about something and not even noticed the hot coffee in front of him as he almost burned his hand by touching it. But before that April held June's hand "Are you okay? Don't be upset by his words" she sounded very empathetic.
"No, I don't care about that" June shook his head.
"You know what, I am going to teach a lesson to him, what is his family name again?" April fumed.
June gave an opposing look to whatever April is planning to do.
Noticing that, April quickly changed her words, "I didn't expect she'd actually talk in your defence, must be one of her tricks" said April referring to Julie's actions.
"She shouldn't have said anything, she landed herself in huge trouble" June rubbed his head sighing.
"You're worried about her even now? You should be thinking of yourself June, not her. It is all a show, and you know..."
Suddenly June's expression changed as if he realized something, "I...I will talk to you later okay?" June rushed out the at once leaving April perplexed.
"What did he say?" suddenly the seat vacant by June's exit is now filled up by a curious candidate who is waiting all the time at a nearby table.
"He didn't say anything..." April is still perplexed at June's demeanour.
"I think the snake got your golden egg for good this time " Maddy sighed.
"As if I will let her" April slammed her hand on the table.
"What are you going to do then?" Maddy asked.
"I am going to do whatever it takes, I need to show that snake that June's mine, she's not going to play with him again, acting up all innocent now" Arpil sounded determined.
"April can I ask you something?". Maddy sounded serious.
"Sure"
"What is June to you?"
"What do you mean by what is he to me, of course, he's my...." a pause came naturally. "he's my..my best friend" April finished the sentence uncomfortably.
"Is that all it is? I remember when you first met us in our freshman year all I heard from your mouth was the name of June. You were more in Winterford than here every vacation and new years. When June moved back, I still remember your face, I have never seen you so happy before. For a person of your tantrums only June could tame you up and it seemed you didn't have an ounce of a problem with that. Do you remember how did you start racing?"
April's expression became incomprehensible.
"Whatever that is between June and Julie that is their private matter. I don't think I would want my best friend to interfere with my privacy, but if you feel you are more than friends with June then it is different. Maybe June wants to give Julie a second chance maybe not, maybe Julie is approaching June with some bad intentions, sure you can warn him but not interfere"
For someone who doesn't look too bright, every single word from Maddy made April ponder over it. April felt like her head was about to burst.
"Let's go for the circuit, I need sometime to think" April stood up.
"We don't know the tracks here, I don't think it's safe to go there now" Maddy reasoned.
"It will be short" She started to walk towards the door.
Maddy felt like they were landing in trouble for some reason and she was right. Not so long after they left for the circuit, June received a panicking call from Maddy.
