People like to think that after death there is a sort of a sanctuary waiting for them.
A safe haven for their soul to rest and be at peace forever.
They like to imagine a beautiful bright lit place filled with soft clouds that you can fall asleep on.
Or that each person has their own heaven, filled with things they love.

There's actually nothing.
Nothing but complete and utter emptiness.

Just void.

This void place felt so much like that void you and Shadow met in.
But this one was colder, darker.

Lacking the warmth Shadow was giving it.
It made you feel uncomfortable and unwell.
You could still see but only your body. As if the light was emitting from your body.
But everywhere else there was just cold darkness and dead silence that sent an unpleasant shiver down your spine.
