Chapter 52: Kai and the knight

"When it calms down outside I'll escort you to the palace"
The knight said looking out of the window.

Kai, the mobian boy that lead you into Soleanna, was pouring tea for everyone.

"When what calms down? The people outside?"  Rouge questioned as she admired her tea cup.

Your ears twitched as you accepted the white tea cup, decorated with blue forget me nots.

The refreshing chesnutty smell of the green tea was irresistible.
You took a small sip of it.

"Yes, I believe some of them recognized you and spread the word around"
He said, looking at you with a relived face.

He turned away from the window.
The blinds closed on their own with a very light turquoise tint glistening around them.

The mobian looked familiar, so did Kai.
But no matter how hard you tried you could not put a finger on it.

Who are they??

"How could you tell who I am? I wasn't trying to look too out of place"

He laughed lightly.
"That look in your eyes. You always had that sparkle of delight in your eyes. No matter the situation you were always hopefull"
His own eyes sparkled in hope.

Who is he?

"Although you look different, older of course and hardened by many battles. Mostly mentally I'd say"

Shadow placed his hand on yours.
You glanced at him and back at the knight.

Shadow had been closely sitting next to you in a protective manner.
He obviously didn't trust the knight.

The knight narrowed his eyes at Shadow but continued talking to you.

"You no longer have the innocent manners of a young child, but that of a hero. A hero of the purest heart and of the kindest soul"

"I'm so sorry but, I don't know who you are i- don't recognize you"
You set down your cup.

The knight's expression immediately saddened. He closed his eyes and sighed softly.
"Yes, I noticed"

"Who are you?"

The knight looked away in thought.
"You may call me... Alsi.
I am a Sol knight, General of the Psychic warriors"

"Psychic warriors?"
Amy questioned.

Alsi looked over at her.
"In other words, warriors with psychic abilities"

"You look so familiar to me, but I don't know who you are"
You observed Alsi, trying to look for the thing that was so familiar to you.

He had several scars you could currently see.

He had a line going right through his lip, making it curve upwards revealing a sharp canine tooth, making him look like he was awkwardly smiling all the time.

No, that didn't remind you of anyone.

His quills were short, some of them had rings and what looked like turquoise stipes.
He had a short braid, sticking out of one of his quills on his right side.

Still, nothing.

His fur perhaps?

Graying and missing in some parts where burns might've happen.
The area around his muzzle and eyes were. Completely gray.
Showing that even great soldiers grow old one day.

Despite all of that, his fur was still the same color as yours.

He couldn't be....
