You woke up.

The sky appeared blue and getting darker by the second, with pink and orange colors dancing on the horizon, painting an absolutely breathtaking sunset.

Sitting up, dizziness and a headache hit you like a fire truck.

Your head was pounding like crazy.
Shaking your head a bit seemed to have strangely helped.

You got up and dusted yourself off.
You looked around.

You weren't in your house or anywhere near it.

Looking around again and squinting a bit until your eyes adjusted to the evening light.

Nothing but debris, old houses in ruins...
Wait...

You appeared back in your old village.
You haven't been here in years.

You shook your head a bit, not wanting to get into a flashback episode.

You held your head.
"Stop, no no no no no, no time for that"
You pushed away the thought of anything you remember of this place.

You need to get out of here.
Immediately, you began running out of the village.

But then you stopped...

You've been avoiding this place for so long.
It wouldn't hurt to explore a bit.
Right?

Walking to your old house.
The walls were cracked and the plaster was crumbling off upon just touching it.

Breathing in and out you walked through the doorless doorway.

The house was just as bad inside as it was outside.
All the glass was shattered and broken.

You walked in further.
Hearing some glass crack under your boot you looked down.
You stepped on something rectangular.
An old framed picture?

You picked it up and looked closer at it. It was a framed picture of you and your parents.

Your father was holding you and your mother was holding your baby brother.

He looked to be about three months and you looked about four years old.

You've almost completely forgot how they even looked like.
The picture was old and water damage didn't do just justice to it.

The colors were faded but still recognizable, more or less.

You did still kind of remember how your parents and brother looked, color wise at least.

It's funny to see that you have the same (c) fur like your dad and your brother the same (c), like your mom.

You glanced inside the kitchen.
Noticing a picture hanged on the fridge.
The magnets were slid down slightly.

Taking a step to the fridge you stepped in something...
Stepping back, you noticed the bottom of your shoes felt like they scratched the floor under you a bit.

Oh... Oh no...
You breathing quickened and you ran out of the house.

You ran to the center of the village.
Jumping over a hole in front of the stairs to the temple.
Skipping over every three stairs to get up quicker.
