You were on the bridge.
Yes the broken one.
You stood next to Shadow while listening to the message Eggman sent.

"I've secretly been working to infiltrate the Materex and find out what they're up to but it looks like they've finally figured out I've been deceiving them"

"Dr. Eggman, a huge Materex battle ship is closing in fast" Bocoe warned

"It's laser cannons are pointed right at us" Decoe warned.

"Your panicking is pointless. Defeat is inevitable so let's face it with dignity. The Materex are on the move, heading towards galactic coordinates 000. One of their legends talks about a time when "the thousand-year wait ends and night and day become one". I'm not sure what it means but my guess is that something extraordinary happens in that region of space, once every thousand years, and it's about to happen again" Decoe and Bocoe were running back and forth in the background.

"The Materex are sending every ship and their fleet to rendezvous there. You'd have to be out of your minds to try and intercept them, so I assume that's what you're going to do" Eggman laughed and the message ended.

"I got away just as they begin attacking" Bokkun said, holding up the tv.

You saw some numbers in the corner of the screen going down.

"I hope you don't mind my asking. But why are those numbers on your TV counting down?" Cosmo asked.

"I forgot these messages self-destruct at the end"

In that moment, Shadow grabbed you and ran out of the door.

You heard an explosion.
You walked back in to see the others covered in dust, thankfully none of them seemed to be harmed.

"I'll never tune into that channel again"

Since the first bridge was destroyed, Tails took all of you into a room none of you even knew was there.

"You can't control the ship from here, there are no controls" Knuckles pointed out.

"There are controls here, they're just hidden away" Tails activated something on his communicator and all of the controls appeared in the room.

"I build this secret bridge just in case the original got wrecked " Tails explained.

"But can this beaten up barge fly?" Rouge asked.

Chris sat down in a chair and started to gather information.

"The ships engines were damaged pretty bad but we still have enough power" Chris activated all the controls.

"Put it into launch more Chris" Tails ordered.

The Typhoon successfully lifted up and was on its way to the coordinates 000.

You saw lights flashing in the distance. You went to check on a screen.

"There's a big fleat of Materex ships ahead" You looked at the coordinates. "Their coordinates are 000".
